  • so you went from crossfire to one nvidia card.......THIS IS MADNESSS!!!!

  • @NitroExplosion88 Actually i went from two 4870

    X2's to 2 GTX 295's (better performing).

    For free!

    And yes, that is MADNESS!

    kp

  • thanks for the great videos man, keep them coming

  • Dude, I just got an ibuypower for christmas. The desktop wont connect to a monitor or an HDTV. did you have the same problem? Do you have to install any discs or anything?

  • @ganondorf129 did you used and HDMI cable?? if you didnt you should try

  • like a g6 jet :3

  • the best care for price is a gtx 460 1 GB ram superclocked for $250. its equal to a 6870.

  • @Harryp5675 dont buy a gtx 460 factory overclocked. Save $ and overclock it yourself.

  • I know this is old but, when you said " the most powerful card " I laughed.

Your right but its a power sucker.

Have fun with a high power bill.

  • Seeing this video makes me feel a little better I just ordered a computer from Ibuypower on monday :) Keep up the good work!

  • This is so stupid.. they are making like some OMFGBADASS PC when there is online like only 7 demanding games out there. Whould you realy pay like 400$ just to run crysis properly ?

  • how is HD 5770?

  • ill prowly dowwoad flaps aswell.

  • liquid cooling ftw?

  • WHOA!!! INTEL i7 OMFG!!! LUCKY!!!

  • i like when he emphasizes on the 100% lol im asian and typical asian people do that lol

  • welcome to the true world or ati there cards cant handle much and they over heat quite often i used ati before and will never go back to them

  • im thinking of Overclocking should i??

  • Bench mark Battleground Europe for me.

  • 3:48 that was hilarious.

  • now you can pre-order the nvidia geforce GTX 470-1.2gb or the nvidia geforce GTX 480-1.5gb on some IBP computers

  • thanks for the video man, this makes me feel better about ibuypower, although im very far from the headquarters since Im on the east coast this still makes me feel confident about purchasing from IBP

  • the most powerful videocard on the planet is ATI Radeon 5970 HD

  • @davidmtz12345

    LOL SEE: February 12, 2009

  • @davidmtz12345 not for long when nvidia comes out with their new card. 5970 is way too overpriced anyways.

  • its too bad IBP only supports 5870 even though it could come crossfired or whatever

  • @davidmtz12345 when this video was made the 5970 didn't exist

  • @davidmtz12345

8 months have passed and now its not :D

  • @davidmtz12345 not any more ..muhahahahaha

  • @davidmtz12345 not anymore nigga, 6780!

  • @davidmtz12345 Not anymore lol

  • @davidmtz12345 I'm getting an ATI Radeon 6850 - 1GB - HIS IceQ X Turbo - Core: 820MHz with an

    AMD Phenom™ II X6 1055T Six-Core CPU

Could you please tell me how well that one performs?

  • @davidmtz12345 thats technically a multi gpu card

  • @davidmtz12345 You mean GTX 590.

  • You're going to pwobweey download fwaps?

    WHERE DO I GET FWAPS?

FWAP FWAP FWAP FWAP FWAP FWAP.

  • am i listening to jimmy from south park??

  • The new ATI HD's have a better performance than GTX 295s and it costs less

  • Too bad that most people don't live down the street from iBUYPOWER, and if their shit breaks, they have to pay to ship the entire machine off ($70-$90) and wait for them to ship it back. They probably gave you the 295's due to the fact that they're about the same price as a 4870X2, except that the 295 has a horrid failure rate.

I don't know why you continue to praise them, when after a brief session with Crysis, your $1000 GPU setup failed. I'd warn everyone to stay away fro IBP.

  • @PaperthinHymn

Thats not really ibp's fault, they don't make the cards.

  • You should have to pay for shipping imo and also ibp doesnt manufacter the cards idiot its not their fault

  • When did I say that they manufactured the cards? I didn't. But, if they're going to be putting the system together, opening every component, then they could at LEAST run some stress tests before shipping it out. I had a buddy who got a failed system, paid the shipping to send it back, they then held it for over a month, shipped it back to him and that same day the HDD got the click of death. It's not a leisurely drive to the IBP HQ from Florida, either. He had to wait. Again. Fuck that.

  • ASUS MARS > all other video cards (maybe not 3x gtx 285)

  • Lol 4870X2 > GTX 295 ... Really, the fps may favor nVidia. But stability, life, and quality are in ATi...

  • lol, stability life, and quality are clearly NOT advantages in my case.

Nvidia runs cooler, and has CUDA.

    kp

  • ehhhh... if you're a real tech guy, you'd know that the nVidias run cooler than the 295s

CUDA is a great advantage, but the average user isn't gonna take that to his/her full advantage.

  • I was talking in comparison to the 4870 X2.

Sure, the average user may not use CUDA but it's implementation takes advantage of many pro apps, and will soon move into the consumer marketplace.

    Example: Badaboom.

    kp

  • Ya I was aware of the 4870X2 comparison.

  • I've never had one Nvidia card die on me.

    Ever.

  • Have you ever owned an ATi card?

  • Yes.

  • And have you had one die on you?

  • I've never had one die on me no, but I've had multiple faulty ones with issues which caused large coloured pixels on display, I've had driver issues with them and I've had an overheating one.

I did have sufficient cooling and no it was not my pc, as every nvidia card I've owned on the pc ran perfectly.

  • Well, issues are fixable... nVidia's starting to go down the toilet anyways haha.

  • These issues weren't fixable, and how is nvidia going down the toilet?

  • 5870 (single GPU) almost beats GTX 295 (dual-GPU). And the GTX 300 prototypes aren't coming close to 5870s.

  • Where did you find that information, you bellend. Like you said the 5870 "almost" beats the GTX 295, which I highly doubt it does. It still doesn't beat it.

Do your homework you fucking plum.

  • I'll believe it when I see it ;)

    kp

  • mkay.

Also, it'd be nice if you did reviews more often. Unboxings aren't really a talent, more of an addition to a review.

  • Yes, if you watch my recent video, it will answer all your questions. Also my ACD review will up soon.

    kp

  • ACD?

  • 23 inch LED Apple Cinema Display.

    kp

  • 5970 > 295. Hell, a 5850 beats out everything Nvidia currently has BUT a 295 in most cases. The 58XX series, even the 4890, scales better in quadfire than the 295. I don't have a preference towards either one, but I do like ATI due to their price vs performance. I can get a 5850 for $300... or, I could get a GTX 285, which performs less and scales WORSE for $400. Only $100 more for the Nvidia name and less performance. Nice. I have had 2 GTX 260 216's fail on me, by the way ;p

  • @PaperthinHymn

I read what you said, but a quick question: PaperthinHymn... as in Anberlin?

  • Haha yeah, this is an old account.

  • @PaperthinHymn

I went to their concert in Milwaukee, it was pretty sweet.

  • Yeah they're an easy listen.

  • my brain 'sploded

  • As a owner of mostly Nvidia cards, this is too true. Unfortunately, the 5970 outperforms the 295, is more efficient and supports directx 11. And it cost about $70+ more.

  • 70 dollars more is a small price to pay for the best video card on the market currently

  • @kpappletech its been proven over and over go check out some benchmarks

  • @scottycatman they are using the 400 series instead of 300 now look it up its pretty good

  • I've had 2 die on me. :P

  • How loud does this system run normally, I'm thinking about getting something similar, but I'm concerned a 1000W PSU and a High Air Flow Case would be noisy

  • Yes, tHe computer is noisy, although I have it closed off in another room, so it isn't an issue.

    kp

  • Hmm, so if you had it in the same room next to you, would you say it would be unbearably noisy?

  • Its not unbearable, but it is noisy, I power up my computer in the Windows 7 Unboxing vid, so you can listen to the noise there.

    kp

  • an ibuypower is better then buying an alien ware thats 1200$ for a 700$ comp

  • First of all, Ibuypower is one of the worst places you can buy from. Theres been over 200 BBB complaints towards the place and abosolutely horrible customer service. If anything is missing, your in for a long, painful, one-two months of waiting until your computer ships back.

And the GTX 295 isn't even close to the 5700 ati radeon graphics card, which is the best to date. I was going to buy from Ibuypower until I did some research on how much they suck. This guy's one of the 2% that's happy.

  • lol dude no one cares about what it sounds like.....

    and lol "AT A NICE"

    Your hilarious

  • Would you recommend Ibuypower, I hear they're bad, but I also hear they can play games I'd be playing. (WoW on 'ultra' settings.) Does it break down a lot? :d

  • ibuypower is like the best gaming pc company ever!!! i ordered my pc at the end of august.. got it too weeks after i ordered it.. it was realy fast and it cost me only 990 $

my specs: amd quad core 810 (2.66 ghz)

    evga nvidia gtx 60

    4gb ram

    500gb hardrive

    really sexy case

    and lotta other stuff

it can run any game on ultrahigh settings with no lag..

    its just simply amazing

i recommend you buying from iBP

  • I'd rather buy from Newegg they have a decent iBP Desktop there. :d

  • Yeah.. newegg has some iBP pcs .. they are cheap but the only problem is that u cant fully customize the pc and u get windows vista 64-bit.. :( the worst version of windows vista

  • You have no idea what you're talking about... First of all, there are a couple versions of Vista 64 bit, and it's better than the 32 bit versions because it can identify 4 gig + ram... Vista is a good OS, stop talking out of your ass.

  • idk, i should be getting IBUYPOWER comp this week or early next week, but i play WoW and want to play Crysis so i hope IBUYPOWER doesnt dissapoint.

  • THIS MADNESS THIS IS NVIDIA LOL!

  • nice dude, Nvidia WAY TO GO!

  • ok Im looking to buy/make a PC for gaming and internet, I want very good pings, Im not sure if i wanna build my own because im not real good/knowledgeable with tweaking PCs, would alienware be a good company to buy from or iBuy power, Im looking for an i7 machine

  • iBuyPower would be a great pick, you can get a decent machine with a little amount of money.

Go to the custom configuration, and config your computer.

    kp

  • would you suggest a RAID 0 config? And are the Killer Xenos any good?

  • Not really, unless you have non-critical data.

No, unless you are a pro gamer, or if you are like Fatal1ty and depend on no lagging during online play, you won't need it.

But they are good, I won't deny that.

    kp

  • did you consider cyberpower vs ibuypower?

  • I took a long look at cyberpower, they're the only guys to come close to ibuypower, but part selection was way too weak. I really wanted the LexaBlackline tower case for one.

  • god how stupid are you..comparing ibuypower with dell

  • Actually I rank them the same. They are both not serious gaming machines. Just so so cases with poor wiring and no bios adjustments from factory. Poor airflow and overheating anyone? Serious gaming rigs work right out the box without much to do as far as changes. Any monkey can slap components together and make a computer. How to make it run the "right way" is a different story

  • wow you speak so loud seriously...... nah jk i couldnt hear a thing and i turned my 5.1 surround sound speakers to full blast

  • Heres what you can do to fix that Open the case side and stick a big hunk of muthafucka fan right next to it >:D

  • CWYSIS CRUNCHA!

  • Hi kpappletech, I was wondering if you can PM me the link to the computer you bought from IBP. Thanks

  • its a relief to see sumtin lik this after deciding to order from IBP...its a big weight off your shoulder especially for ur first gaming rig that u dont wanna f*ck up

  • Im buying a gaming rig soon. I was either going to get a Tigerdirect barebone system, cyberpowerpc or Ibuypower pc. Sounds like IBP treated you good.

  • go tiger and buy the parts separately its cheaper. i bought i buy power and it was ok but they forgot a few parts and the shipping was 120$

  • what shoulld i do with my ibuypower pc when it just shuts off completely and i cant turn it on..

  • Call iBuyPower support, or do what I did, and drive down to their headquarters and sort out the problem.

    kp

  • it was so loud! like omg

  • I fukken' lol'd. Thanks /g/.

  • Paul.....

  • Lucky bugger =O Quad sli FTW!

    I would love that

  • What's your power supply?! 2 295's drag out a lot of power!

And I might just buy from CyberPowerPC...like IBuyPower they offer good prices, but they have more good reviews than bad reviews XD

  • I use a 1KW Ultra X3.

If you are going to get a high end liquid cooling, get Digital Storm.

    kp

  • Digital Storm is highly over priced. You can build their same rig for 1000 dollars less than they will charge you for it.

  • cyberpower is not to be trusted!!!!

  • Ive heard ALOT of bad shit about IBuyPower too...much worse than CyberPower. Faulty systems, disconnected wires...my friend even bought a PC and got the wrong processor put in it. Another guy didn't get his video card...

  • Ya lucky bastard. 2 GTX 295's holllyyy shit.... It's like heaven in a computer!! Anyways, good job! I might be looking into ibuypower soon.

  • Dude you look and sound just like jimmy from south park

  • Hey bud, this is off topic, but i have a computer this brand, im not good with computers either :). Any way you could tell me how to re-boot this computer, or the system recovery?

I just want everything off, like i bought it.

If you know, thanks a bunch! Im stressing over this!

  • You could insert your OS disk in the DVD drive, and do a clean install of the OS.

    kp

  • OS disk? (sorry, i can be complicated).

    Im terrible with computers.

  • Its the 'Reinstallation DVD', that came with your system. You insert it in your drive, then reboot the system, and boot off the disk, the computer gives you an option to do that when you start up.

    kp

  • Oh yes that one! I'll try it again.

Does it matter what drive its in?

  • It shouldn't matter, when I had to re install the OS, I used the drive at the top (first one).

    kp

  • Alright tyvm!

  • thanks man your alsome

  • would you buy this computer? or from ibuypower? because im thinking about buying from them. are they good?

    and

where is they located? is it like there own place calld ibuypower.

    or

    is it someones?

  • This computer is FROM iBuyPower. They built it. I love it. You can find their location at the 'About Us' link at the bottom of their website.

    kp

  • dual 4870 x2 in crossfire is way better than dual GTX 295 in SLI...go and read anandtech review.

Latest Catalyst 9.3 really kicks butt.

ATI 4890 is coming out and so will the X2 version of that in a short while. We all win when there is competition.

I have GTX 295 and quite disappoint in it. Latest forceware 182.08 is crap. Can't even go pass 30fps in Crysis at 2560x1600

if you're a gamer, why the hell would you built your system? pay way too much for ibuypower/alienware/dell/etc...you NOOB

  • Dude, I don't have time to build a system. I work and earn a good amount of money unlike a noob such as yourself.

BTW, I chose the ATI 4870 X2 in the first place, because I already knew it was better card, but I don't need video cards that break down, and Nvidia hasn't let me down so far. Their CUDA technology is far superior to what ATI has offered so far.

Although I miss ATI, because I have used their products all my life.

    kp

  • there is no point of saying "oh i only got 30 fps", do you even know that the human eye can only see 20fps?

  • The human eye can see up to 40fps. The difference between 20 and 30fps is very easy to see.

  • not really the human eye can see 60 FPS thats why most peolpe lock their frame rates there in games

  • This guy is right, its 60.

  • llllooolllll why do you say "r"s like that

  • Looks like your loss (4870X2 Crossfire) became your gain (GTX 295 SLI). But let's face it, I highly doubt this would have worked for anyone not within traveling distance to iBuyPower's HQ. Lucky bastard.

  • haha thats wut u get for choosing ATI , Nvidia is way better

  • That sounds awesome man although I am disappointed that you went to the dark side (Nvidia). True gamers and computer guys use ATI! But you have a saving grace in that you use Intel instead of AMD. Overclock your cpu and gpu and then run some benchmarks for us!

  • You must have a good job. That must have cost a fortune!

  • Can i place my order over the phone?

    and

how do i tell them i want to pick it up instead of them shipping it?

  • Well, you phone them and you ask the operator that you want to buy a comp. Then a salesman will guide you through the process. Ask EVERY question you have, and tell them you want to pick it up.

    That's it.

    kp

PS Never skimp on the PSU

  • Hey KP I was wondering when your doing your next video. You havent done one in two weeks.

  • I have already made one, but I have had uploading problems.

    It should be up soon.

    kp

  • you maybe lucky, but I just dont like "ibuypower", If i had to buy a whole PC i would go with a well known brand.

  • I would have gone with Dell/Alienware but their prices were ridiculous. Other brands like HP/Gateway... were not quality brands, and their prices weren't as nice as iBuyPower's.

Additionally I live half an hour away from iBuyPower's headquarters, so its a win-win.

    kp

  • how about for mine (no custom paint or anything)

    Nzxt Alpha Gaming Tower Case

    AMD Athlon™ X2 6000

    Asus M3A78-CM AMD 780V/SB700

    4 GB DDR2-800

    NVIDIA GeForce 9800gt 1gb

    320 GB HARD DRIVE

  • Well, iBuyPower's most basic shipping is 5-10 business days (1-2 weeks). What you should do (when ordering your computer), I highly suggest to phone iBuyPower, and order your computer over the phone with them, and ask EVERY question you have (shipping, components etc). Make sure you have a solid landline phone connection when ordering.

If you have any more questions, message me.

    kp

  • how long did it take to get your pc from the day u sent the request to day u recieved it?

  • 3.5 weeks. It took a long time because I ordered a custom painted case, they didn't warn me that my order would have taken longer though.

    kp

  • hey, i live like 15 minutes away from ibuypower u think they would let me come pick it up instead of them shipping it?

  • Yes of course. That's exactly what I did. Just make sure you tell them.

    kp

  • Very nice, KP. I'm getting my custom built PC from iBuyPower within the week. I ordered a Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Processor, 2x 3.0 GHz, 4GB RAM (DDR2-800) , NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB, 320 GB HD, and a eVGA Nvidia nForce 780i SLI Chipset (3-way SLI). I know it's no where near the performance of yours, but I'm excited about it!

  • It sounds like a nice machine.

    Hope you enjoy your system.

    kp

  • guju

    right

    and wuts it

    do macs get crysis

    and macs need i7

  • holy crap 2X295? those are sick!

and you will probably get more from the 2 cards then you would get from 2 ATI's... its just a known fact that if you go double (or quad) you only go nvidia

they got the better SLI profiles and they push out more driver updates then AMD

with single cards picking a radeon is OK but once you go duo you KNOW there are some games that will either give u terrible FPS or wont use the second card at all

  • I did notice after doing some research on the GTX 295's that that they have superior scaling in comparison to the ATI cards. This is an exciting step up in my video editing system, because Nvidia has a video conversion software, called BadaBoom, and I will love to use this software to handle my video exporting in my video workflow.

    kp

  • Plus, more and more programs are supporting CUDA and on the other han
