Here for school now... As terrible as this sounds, if you are dark skinned you will be treated better.

I've been called a "white devil" on three different occasions now, and i've always respected the locals and their culture. Locals exploit students and charge ridiculous sums of money for trivial things just because the students have nowhere else to go.

Island is nice. Locals have not made my stay the most pleasant unfortunately. Eager to finish and leave.

@TheKman7890 That's possibly the stupidest thing I've heard. I'm whiter skinned than anybody in the leewards and have never been called white devil. In fact, the majority of my closest friends are locals. I'm willing to bet you're just some spoiled waspy American who can't relate to local customs and gives every local you come across attitude when you can't have things your way. Maybe if you'd stop acting like a dick and treat locals with respect you wouldn't have these views...

@medicinemon Whats more ridiculous is the fact that you expect every persons experience to be identical to yours.

As for treating locals with respect, heres my day for you: Walk to school, lecture, go home, study. I dont go out, I dont go to block parties, and I've never been rude to anyone here. At best I go out for a nice dinner every other week or so.

Get the full picture before you type a paragraph making accusations on a persons experience which you have zero knowledge about.

I have tried to do this so many times and have countless mini videos but do not have the know how to create what you have accomplished. Thank you for a beautiful slice of Nevis. I was there this year 2010, 2009 for a funeral and 2008 for culturama. Never can get tired of seeing my origins! So hail up Zion-(now Canada)..

@wahgwaan87 i love that beach, last time i went was about 12 years ago tho! the water was so shallow you could walk out a long distance and it would only come upto your waist! beautiful country, think i will be visiting my grandparents soon :-D
