The debating era is dead. It's too late in the day to pour this kind of energy into rhetorical shouting matches when Harlem's dynamics are being whitewashed in more ways than one. With all these folks gathering for debates, how many of them will form susus and investment clubs to build an economy for themselves? How many will pool resources to purchase a building for the UAM and Alton Maddox to own outright? If you're gonna debate, go after Mr. Charlie in a debate. Dr. Clarke did.
well said Brotha, the REAL issue is the vast majority of these negro "debators" use this activity as a way to hide from responsibility, the REAL responsibility of building family, community, etc....
It actually is nothing more than prepubescent chest beatin and in most circumstances amounts to the hallmark of the apex of clearly proven cowardice facing REAL issues. In particular concerning security and Afrikan lives....
Great vid hopefully these "debators" can grow some manhood and learn
I Respectfully but firmly disagree with you. Debates are indeed needed if done correctly. If Moors Debated Garvey ect. back in the day there would be LESS CONFUSION today because there would be a history for later generations to study. All learn in a true debate but it's NEEDED TODAY. The 60's is important but out dated.
what do we say to those who enjoy privacy over unity ... the every-one-for-themselves by-the-boot-straps mode of thinking has come to dominate our society, people of all creeds and complexions ... maybe that 'I stand alone' alone mentality is the definition of a cracker, the robotic reagan clones still coming off the assembly line of duplicity and corruption. We gotta take it back to the panthers, iran-contra, CIA drug trafficking... the TRUTH must be told or the cycle of self-deceit continues
Elder Earl has a very poignant stance on this debatism and trully has set the grounds for said unification/liberation. Great vid.
