I am proud of Otis. He keeps moving forward, regardless of what life throws at him. He is mindful of the legacy (of the Tempts) but does not just live in the past, or on what might have been. He did what all of us must and should do in our own life........carry on( with dignity).
If only more people would realize that. He loves the past temptations, but the legacy must continue. He does try to change the line up of the group, but sometimes its what must happen.
this is from a live performance being captured by a cell phone, you can't possibly expect the audio to sound as good as a studio version, are you serious.LOL
i wish you people let go of david, eddie, paul and melvin i love the org five no one can touch them but i love the new guys and i thank otis and the new guys for keeping THE TEMPTATIONS ALIVE
Terry is 47. Bruce is younger then him, 39 or 40. They are all awesome. Not sure why age matters at all, they are not trying to be clones of the classic 5, so there age doesn't have to match. They are there own temptations.
no, he's 46. he had a birthday after I made that comment and then he in fact was 45. but youre right, age doesnt have to match. they may not be the super stars that they once were, but they are certainly the best singing group still out there
As long as Otis still has breath in his body to sing, good use of his limbs to dance and travel, and in his right mind, dont expect the Tempts to go ANYWHERE.

This is nothing compared to the original recording with David Ruffin. I thought "the next time they'd be kinder" but the Tempts didn't follow through on that thought.
To give you the full rundown. Otis Williams 47 years, sings 2nd Tenor and Baritone, and I believe 1st tenor but I'm not sure. Ron Tyson sings 1st and 2nd tenor and baritone and has been a temptations for 25 years. Terry weeks singing lead here, sings 1st 2nd and baritone, and has been a member for at least 12 years. Joe Herndon who sings Bass has been a Temp for 5 years. Bruce Williamson is the Newest, sings 1st 2nd, and baritone, and has been a temp for 1 year and change. He leads the most.
After seeing Terry and the guys in concert 3 times now its safe to say Terry is gunna be here for a while. Hes an amazing singer. And his version of this song is great!
Terry is the Man! he does have a more contemorary style of singing, but he usually sings backround anyway. However I think its better that he makes that song his own than trying to sing it like david and then getting crap from the fans for falling short of his quality. Just my opinion.
one of my many faves of theirs but since Otis is the only original member left i really don't feel it's right to keep going out as the temptations. just my opinion tho
@BVDS1 i dont think it sounds rap, as much as it sounds like they added a lil bit of a modern gospel style feel to their music, mixed with some new skool r&b. i agree with 1statone
They lost the 'sound' with this version. Sorry....

Nah... Dennis Edward's Tempts are much better.

this guy's voice is to low to be leading this song. It would sound better with more of a second tenor voice.

No one can sing like David Ruff Ruffin, but they're still good here.
artpiston 3 years ago
agreed! Ruffin is the man and puts so many of todat's "artists" to shame. Too bad he had to live the life he did, what a TRAGIC waste of talent!

Because they have members, they have a new style and a new sound and they're in a new era.
So they need new fresh material.
Terry is awsome and he reminds me of
Johnny Gill.

they sound so much more different. but they should still be called the temptations and they dont sound like a rap group.
they r just trying to hard to be contemporary
