  • i want this to be played at my wedding!

  • Great beat man, i have a question,

what software did you use to add the picture to be wide like this and the appearance of the tittle under you? Vegas?

  • Yo brother that beat is straight sick (SPRANG TIME SOUL) I think I got a cold now lol... You slowing up brother with the videos and beats come on now keep up the great work. You make me wanna get back into it. KIRK DIGGLER @K-BIZ ENTERTAINMENT on Yutube Peace God.

  • man, u got the groove, but please, don't do lyrics anymore..it's not ur thing

  • Dope

  • ladies feel free to take off your panties lol love that line

  • should be on the radio!!!

  • "feel free to take off your panties" hahaha

  • Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, that sh*t was FONKY!!! Many cats make good joints but very few can be FONKY!!! Thanks Brotha.

  • 9 months from now I just wish We will see you all over the place instead of the crap we have to go through right now.

I wish you the Best Mr. Doc, because you're one of the best

Good Luck, remember where you came from and make us proud and happy to listen to your wonderful music

    Bonne route mon frère!!!!

  • Boonie u got soul my friend... soul you can't buy on any record.

  • what VST guitar do you use bonnie?? sounds incredible, amazing !! like old school of soul !

  • Why i hear GHOSTFACE rap going o!ver this? really mellow Groove

  • @BlackTuezday yo what would you suggest in terms of chords when it comes to old soul, like those big ones they used on the horns and strings. ive been looking for ages for the theory behind soul but its quite hard to find since im not sure its that defined as a genre anymore, also searching RnB just comes up with modern pop music so ive been havin a hard time learnin it. even though i listen to soul a lot i never seem to be able to get it down. any pointers?

  • @slowpokecity chords in most basic soul music aren't really that complex. soul uses all chords. mainly a constant use of major and minor 7th chords, major 6's, some dominant 7ths, and of course minor and major add 9s creep up. it mostly boils down to the rhythm, groove and feel of the instruments rather than the chords. It's all about how it's played. the chords really don't get too complex until you start tapping into gospel (especially modern).

  • @BlackTuezday thanks for the reply homie appreciate that.

  • BEST PIECE OF MUSIC IVE HEARD FOR AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES!!!

  • I wonder what Sly Stone and Bootsy Collins would say about this young nigga here.

Aww Yeah. Its yo world to do what you feel. I when I say feel you know I mean SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: excuse me if my english is not correct, i'm from Holland.

  • 19 people Can't do what you do Boon lol. This joint shows his musical progression over the years

  • how do you emulate such realistics instruments(with their characteristics) like guitar, trombone etc. on comupter? Respect from Poland ;)

  • @przedZiomka First, using good quality and realistic sounding virtual instruments.. and Second, it's all in the way you play it. Learning the advantages and disadvantages of the actual instruments helps. Like if it's a brass instrument... you know that a person playing one has to breathe and can't sustain a note as long as string instruments etc.

  • fire yes indeed peace

  • Man that joint make me feel like a kid inna early 80's wit mom n pops havina picnic...pops smokin reefa (not weed) but REEFA! lol drinkin some shlitz relaxin inna wind n shit lmao

One thing that bothers me is that you don't sing ;) I bet you got nice singing voice and it would give a really cool vibe to this joint.

Hope to see new beatmaking videos from you soon :)

Peace all the way from Finland.

    -Murkkumise-

  • Bet those 19 dislikes are from people who came here for some hip hop and Boon flipped it on them with some SOUL. Real fans of good music know what's up though. lol

  • yo boon doc love the beats bro. ima big fan of your work and if it wasnt for my boy showing me you on youtube, i probably would be so inspired to make beats all the time lol. maybe one day within time i could meet you cause that'll be somethin i would to check off on my goals list lol. but check me out on my videos and pls let me know what you think cause i really want your opinion over anyones elses to be honest lol

  • Yo Boonie, Big fan! whats your favorite Bass VST? I like Trilogy for synth bass but cant seem to find a great bass vst (electric, acoustic) I know a REAL bass is always best but what would you recommend g?

  • hot shit

  • this reminds me of the great Barry White

  • lol i love you boon doc.

  • This the shit........just put it on the wife while playing this joint.....LOL

  • Who are the 19 people with no ears & probably no rhythm

  • Boonie!

Diggin the soul! I was wondering where you get your rhodes and horns and sounds like those cuz I'm on FL and my sounds are just really childish and pathetic! lol

    Thanks man

  • Boonie should have the success of Dilla and Pete Rock, make it your job to play his beats and parties etc and get him the respect and appreciation he deserves!

  • Hahaha! This is fucking awesome.

  • Havent seen ya on here in a while, nice track Boon Doc

  • Thanx bro for giving me and my lady something cool to dance to! Keep up the good work.

  • you play 7th chords, or 9th ?? and what scales you use? casue it sounds like Jill Scott and Erykah Badu beats ;p

  • I like it but I think your voice is too much in the background... Try to mix it a different way. Glad you still here Boon :)

  • Great stuff. Not that I would expect anything from you that wasn't... Now we just need Kendrick Lamar to see your videos and reach out to you. I would pay $100 for a Boon Doc + Kendrick Lamar album.

  • sounds like you used a sample.. sounds real proper and authentic. keep making great music man!

  • BOONIE your stuff good samples or not.....i been making beats since 2007 im ius showin that i got love for your beats fam musican be selling out and forgetting that vibe.....check out my account i got some of my beats upload

  • Booonie, what AU do you use for your drums in Logic? ESX24? thanks man love the beat!

  • @Sytrusze Battery 3

  • @BlackTuezday Cool thanks man!

  • I do not have the eloquent creative capacity to accurately articulate how much I appreciate this piece and what you do.

  • Man o Man....thats that shit right there, and yes , Barry White would have destroyed this song.......Great work boon, great work.

  • I think if this was sped up ever so slightly to give a little more hop or umph to the groove, Mary J Blige on this ish or Erykah Badu (I like MJ on it better though) would be a smash.

  • nice bub..love the mix..sounds real smooth. i can see a bonnie behind each instrument playing live...lol..that should be the video..six or seven boon docs groovin

  • @bdouble561 veeeery good idea. reminds me of one of D'Angelo's music videos from his first album

  • Mannnn, I don't know how you did it, but you captured the essence of that motown sound. Those horns and guitar give it that feel. The drum programin' is rediculous. I'm really feelin' this one Boon.

  • I would love to hear Melanie Fiona on this. I keep coming back to listen some more. So chill...

  • Yo Boon man that's real out the box music!!!! Man I thought I was in the Boom Boom Room..LoL!!!

  • that's wat good boonie he tryna find a new style that's the art of music pure creativity

  • @BlackTuezday Hah, Not even Bobby McFerrin? He does 3 octaves or so

  • @BlackTuezday need some lou rawls over this track!

  • NO SAMPLES??? HEEEELLLL YEAH!!! THIS MY SHITTT!!!

  • Man gets famous for sampling, stops sampling. Man becomes unfamous. The end.

  • @ASSEMblerEX Man shows love for only one thing he thinks an artist can/should do... stays close minded... Man criticizes growth/change and sounds foolish. The end...... for him. Artist doesn't give a f*** and successfully continues doing what he loves regardless of "fame". #winning

  • @BlackTuezday Boom Winning anyone??? lol Boonie Keep doing what you do best, and that is making people across the world not only play and share your music but love your music!!!!

  • Yeah this sums up everything Im feelin with this spring weather. Feelin so good right now. Great job Boonie!!!!

  • Hahha I could flip this! Great work man haha

  • that's a smooth jam...love the your original music over any sample flip..best of luck to you.

  • This is not a beat... this is a straight real made instrumental song with real instruments from the 70's! GODDAMN how you do that!? Sounds so unbelievable real...

  • go Boon Doc! I guess youre not sampling as much as you did, but now you are pretty much making your own samples, since its your own music! Cant wait to hear this track chopped and flipped.

  • HaHa .. ladies take off your panies this right here st8 fukin music

(pardon my french). Good jod always boonie . peace

  • OMG! Boon doc i miss you man! comeback please! more Beat videos! Peace! <3

  • I see people asking if you will sample again. I completely understand and respect the fact that you want something else. You said in one video that you've been making beats since 2003. I'm making beats now for like 1.5 year and sometimes I also feel like doin something else then chopping sample over and over again. I just can't figure it out how to make some cool neo-soul track like this one :(

  • @Atr39 You can figure it out bro. It just takes tons of practice and studying some of the basics of music theory on a keyboard (not saying you have to read music, 'cause I sure can't lol). But just understanding scales, modes, chords, inversions, progressions and ESPECIALLY the number system. Like my boy Jamal Hartwell (a keyboard master) told me.... "Practice is NOT fun most of the time lol... whoever said 'practicing the piano and music theory is fun all the time' should be slapped" LOL

  • @BlackTuezday O.K got it. I've played the guitar for 3-4 years so I think I will be able to do something with that. Get a decent mic, play some chords. Thanks for replying boonie you're a great man, really a source of inspiration.

    Sincerely

  • DAYYYYUMMMMMMMMM

    I LOLed at that xD

  • "ladies feel free to take off your panties ... just kidding just kidding" ... Man who you tryin to play we know damn well you aint kidding hahaha

  • damn damn damn. you've done it again!!! really feeling your new direction. don't get me wrong i've been a fan for a while, and your older stuff was hittin too, but this new stuff seems like it's just you not being scared to do you. Hot! man keep doing what you do. If you'd critique a few of my joints i'd really appreciate it. i'm just trying to do me too. what's up with next years big tune? you down? peace.

  • This is real smooth, dude. It don't matter to me if you sample anymore or not, cause I thought you was ill on the keys anyway. You inspired me to step up my keyboard playing as well. Continued success and blessings to you bro.

    DJ Ted Twis

  • great work of art by boon doc.thanks for this art

  • I know producers dont want to be labelled the one thing. Good work boon. Still i gotta say they way you used to flip samples is inspiring. Hopefully you'll do a throw back one day. peace

  • Boon! HAHAHA!! My dude...you just keep reinventing yourself fam. Honestly, and truly bruh.....you are a producer. When I met you, you made dope beats. • will you ever sample again boon?

  • @MrDirtdevil91 Hmm, If I really really feel like it, I will... but, I don't force anything... I just do what I really feel, and I haven't felt like flipping samples in a long time. Not saying that I never will again... but who knows... I just might not ever feel like it again lol. I still buy records, dig etc. but mainly to just enjoy the music, listen, learn and study the sounds, melodies, progressions etc.

  • @BlackTuezday I can understand that and this does sound like a straight up record. this is crazy!

  • can u like email me your autograph

  • ahh i see (Y) dope dope

  • yo boonie quick Q what basses do you use in logic ? keep doin you mann

  • @stressn19 i never used the actual logic basses. i'd usually use Trilian... but now, most of the time I just play my electric bass live and use bass-amp plug-ins to get different tones and feels from it

  • Beat is sick. So soulful. Definitely sounds sampled. Would've fooled me if I didn't know better lol...

  • WAIT.....I NEED SOME CLARITY!!??!....... IS THIS A SAMPLED TRACK OR ORIGINAL ?!! IF THIS IS ORIGINAL, I GIVE UP!!!!!

  • @prettdboy lol it's all original

  • @BlackTuezday YO MAN, YOU'RE THE TRUTH HOMIE! I MEAN THIS SOUNDS LIKE A LIVE BAND - STRAIGHT VINTAGE!! YOU'RE MIXING GAME IS RIDICULOUS!! I'M ON MY 3RD REPLAY RIGHT NOW TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW THE HELL SOMEBODY CAN BE THAT NICE WITH GODDAMN PLUGINS! IT'S FRUSTRATING B/C IT IS SO TRUE - JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE SAME PLUGS AS SOMEBODY OR THE BEST PLUGINS IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU'LL HAVE THEIR SKILL AND TALENT!! • I got logic pro 9 its alright.. still in the middle of getting my beats imported into logic. But will be Teaching youth kids, up-north of Canada, in Sandy Lake, Ontario. Many Native Americans are going to be excited how I got my inspiration from Boonie, and hopefully my music will show the world how music can a career to do from any instruments. Thanks Boonie.

  • Yo Boonie diggin this track keep doing your thing, but quick question any chance you could do a tutorial on how you sample in logic cause I just picked up a new macbook a few days ago and not really sure how to chop my samples, I can put them in there just dont know what to go to after. so any help would be great thanks

  • @itsOneL To be honest with you, I haven't even sampled since I've been using Logic. In fact, the last time I HAD to sample something for the Red Bull Big Tune last October... I did it all in my MPC and tracked it into Logic through audio lol. I know there's a lot you can do using the EXS24 in it, but I don't really know how. I heard that there's a video of Just Blaze demonstrating how to do it somewhere out there
