  • By the way, this is not the Canadian Brass, even though theres no doubt they would do an amazing job with this piece of music.

  • Is this The Canadian Brass???

    Es Canadian Brass???

  • beautiful!!!

  • what's the name of the song?

  • @Balordoso Pachelbel's Canon in D

  • Comment removed

  • it would have sounded better only french horns by itself..but it still sounds pretty cool

  • Phenomenal!!! I never heard this arrangement- it is very refreshing to have horn leading the brass bend- thank you for posting!!!

  • man i'm so amazed on how they played this on French horn, its so in tone and the articulations is crazy goood!!

  • Of course there is a french horn but the whole piece is being played by a brass ensemble. Hence the trumpet.

  • if any could give me a link to this sheet music or give me the notes id very much appreciate it im a horn player and id love to play this song because its so beautiful

  • i like it though

  • so, if it was called canon in french horn, why is the lead soloist a trumpet?

  • It's a brass arrangement. It's just emphasizing how beautiful the horn is dude.

  • oui, but think about how beautiful it would sound if the French Horn had the main part

  • Whatever the main part is supposed to be.

The idea of a canon is for each instrument to sound beautiful in unison as well as having each instrument contribute to the ensemble, as opposed to having an instrument compete against the other. This way there is better appreciation for each instrument.

As a hornist myself, if the horn had the main part, then it would be pretty beastly lol.

  • yeah i had to agree with you canon is a very unique piece where it showcases how beautiful the brass instruments are when played in unison
