Shouldn't reset the seconds hand so close to zero causes unnecessary wear on the internals.

Ie: Stop the seconds hand on 12 and then reset while its still on 12.

Other basic rules with chronos (don't adjust date wheel while the date wheels are in process of moving) most watches have safety mechanisms in place, but still not worth doing... adjust the time till the date wheel clicks into place (3am to 5 pm ish is safe).

If your watch ever malfunctions activate the hack function take it 4 repair.

Very nice watch, looks like a copy of the Omega Speedmaster though. Not sure I like the thickness of the watch, whereas the Speedmaster is slightly slimmer so it doesn't protrude off the wrist as much.

This watch comes in a wooden box. Hasn't come in that little leather case in 10 years. My SE/L that I bought 15 years ago came in that little round leather case. To me this is a fake/replica. Just look at how stiff the links are. Also, the font on the tachymetre is a little too bold. Rather scary how good the Chinese knockoffs are.

Either it's old or fake.  One of the easiest ways to tell if it's a fake is to look at the display case backs. Compare it to a new one.

@arturoari - I would suggest that if this watch doesn't match yours then you are the one with fakes. This watch is the real deal, there are many copies available but none are good enough to successfully pose as the genuine article.

I thought TAG would use their nicer packaging for the Carrera. This is the same packaging that my Indy 500 has. My Link Calibre S has a much nicer box. Very nice watch though, thanks for sharing.

I love this watch, I have the same one but with the brown leather band instead of the links. I can't express enough how great sapphire crystal is, mine still has no scratches on the face. Even my older link has no scratches on the face for that matter.

Seiko is actually a cheap mans Tag. I own three pairs of their watches and i always get asked who makes them.

BUT if I had the money, i would def get a Tag.

I love the look of and detailed worksmanship on a Carrera but you're just paying for the design. TAG's movements aren't all that out of the world.

However, most people don't know about their Grand Seiko line and Spring Drive movement watches which are OUT OF THIS WORLD. The fit and finish on these pieces puts most major watch brands to shame and not to mention the hand crafted fully in-house movements.
