It's called porpoising, and they teach you all about it in flight school. I did this when I was a student pilot on an early solo flight - it was terrifying, but I recovered. (I imagine it's easier to recover from porpoising in a Cessna though.) Nose up 5-10 degrees, full power, landing aborted. Go around and land the thing properly, taxi to the ramp, and max speed to the nearest drink!

omg i dont get it why people are still flying DC-10 and MD-11s, those things are flying death traps!! Swissair 111, United 232, American 191, and Turkish Airways 981, all huge crashes by the same plane design, not to mention the DC-9 and MD-80, 2 more douglas death traps

Wrong. While I agree its amazing terrible things you are hearing about, and alot lately ....the fact of the matter is bad things have happened for thousand of years...only in the last 50 years or so , or 10 if say internet....we didnt hear about things....I can assure you 200 years ago, there were lots of murders, rapes, , boat crashes, wars etc...It will never end
