hey gr8 vid thx a lot. I've recently started performing live and i work for hours on my tone (i cnt rest before i get a perfect tone even "almost" isnt good enough lol). But quite often some expert guitarists down in the audience tell me after the show that "work on your patches" or "work on your tone". Any advice on how to get a better tone? what do i do add in more comp or reverb or delay or what? i'm confused. cause wat sounds perfect in my jam room, ends up getting negative response on stage
guys, i got mine a year ago.plugged it into a spider III 30w amp. what bothers me is that after plugged thru the korg ax3000g, my guitar signal from the amp seems to be like "choked" and the tone kinda diminished especially with distortion. the sustain seems to get shorter too. with my guitar plugged straight to the amp without the pedal, the sound was alot more "out there" and sustain was longer. is there any way to solve this problem? thanks guys!
AX 3000G ROCKS -- Korg AX 3000G is an awesome guitar effects processor. But mind you, it is not a distortion box specifically. And in true sense it is really a gear with awesome FX modules at your feet. BUT THE DIST EFFECTS ARE IN REAL DIST AMP MODELS AND NOT STOMP BOX EFFECTS. whereas if in any other multi-effect processor if you see, the distortion modules would be of the various stomp boxes LIKE BOSS DS-1, MT-2. SO BUY A DIST STOMP BOX LIKE Ibanez TS-9, Boss DS-1 ETC Finally its u'r choice.
@screamoguitarist93 I would say it can be you have to make your own tone for that. I recommend if you just want a distortion to get a valve distortion pedal.
@faceless2103 hey, faceless I recently moved to using the distortion on my amp I kinda feel a little wierd about talkin crap about it before. I don't have the ax-3000g, but the good mixing of metal tone is pull put treble at 12 oclock take bass out dial mid till you feel it is in the thick mid tone you want then pull bass in till it feels warm then adjust treble to give it a little bite and try having the gain as low as you can eccept it to be for the distortion you want then push it up more.
@faceless2103 glad I could help if you get the chance sometime upload a vid so I can hear what you made, I'm kinda a tone junkie. I you ever have questions on mixing or getting tone. Peace and GodBless.
@NoNameCityBand00 no problem man if i make sth interesting i'll upload it, here is my msn and add me if u want xd peace :DDD Ale_domination@hotmail.com
Is that the Dean Vendetta 7-string? If so.. I have the same :D I'm thinking of buying the korg in the future.. when i have some spare money to spend xD
hey man, well I was just making it up but when I have a day off from everything I will try to tab it out for you do you want everything up to the clean tone? also I will try to check out your band.
yeah, actually they love it when cops get called they park there cars and listen for abit then lightly mention that I need to turn it down after 10. the tone sounds so beefy in person.
but yeah I have actually got a tone close to that thru the head alone too. active pickups are great.
yah, it's an older tone I have actually re set my tone twice since then and now keep my amp pretty much at 12 o clock on the all tone knobs. I'll make a new vid soon, but I plan on maybe switching my preamp on my pickups too. thanks for the compliment on playing, peace, and prayers, Luther.
well if you got a noise gate then you could live with that head till you had the money for a pedal, but seriousely you won't find a clean tone anything compareable to this amp for the price range it's in. your only other bet is to go digital and get a line 6 spider series but then you worry about some things going out on some, and you have to be killer at dialing in tone or it won't sound right. check into getting the head and just buying a second hand cab to save enough money to get you pedals.
hahaha but, after all I'm trying new things, so I want something that's versatile I think this one will do it without a prob, recently I've been messing around some Gilbert's and Govan's shit so haha and since I'm moving out of town, I won't be in a band for some time so... haha
sure man I'm kinda busy right now but I'll try to get a vid together of the presets soon, persanally I don't use them but I can do that. if you want my patch for my dist I can get it to you also.
sorry bout this delay but I haven't forgot to get you my patch I've been so busy with the band, and being a sound and light tech so sorry I'll get it to you soon.
so it took me forever to get time to get this thing in the band room long enough to make your video but I did it it's real quick and never mind my band members playing halo in the back gournd. but hear you go, mike.
Peace, Luther of No Name City. look for the vid by going to my profile page view all vids and it's there.
when you say material do you mean the equioment or the riffs cause I was just kinda makin them up theres a riff in the vid you llike you can totally have it man.
I just woke up that morning and went in my back yard. oh and the fact that as a kid I was impaled in the mouth by a teeter totter( i am not joking about that by the way).
Hey dude i own the AX3000G im trying to get a decent metal tone whats your settings that you are using on the pedal? hopefully hear from you soon

@lalalalatikt
it's actually a vendetta 1.l 6 string just tuned in drop b, I want to get a 4.0 but they don't make lefties of the higher series.
NoNameCityBand00 1 year ago
So for those multi-effects pedals, you can just plug 'em straight into your rig and you're good to go? And do you plug it into your cab or your head?

Wow Dude!!!
That's one killer riff you play at the beginning with the distortion.
Can you please send me a tab of that riff?

how much cost this pedal??
98723123 2 years ago
$150 to $200 I got it thru ebay. thats the effect pedal for the synth sounds it only has a cruddy sound so my synth was a yamaha g5o rack but
I sold it and now use a roland gr20 and it costs around $700 dollars new.
hope I was helpful if you have any questions let me know. Peace, Luther of N N C.
