i dont know if this helps you or not dan, but when i play mine, i use a mic that fits into the bridge

@theotherbush Do you wrap the mic in anything when you do that? I tried it once but didnt sound great but I hear most people wrap some foam or a cloth around it when they do.

@dand456789 Personally I prefer the underwood for a pickup, I hear a lot of great things about the K&K rockabilly which has a preamp with it. I use my rack preamp so never bothered trying one.
