@oOHulaGirlOo In my opinion, it's about a girl who sort of decides to sleep with someone for money to get out of the little world (town? village?) she lives in as she has this energy and freshness inside of her that she believes some other world (Texas) deserves to see.

While in the experience she sees, or rather hallucinates as it's black, a dove and gets this idea that it could save her or take her away (spaceship). But she's left with just a trauma (lion-mouse)

Hmm... This might be one of the best videos of Tori's live performance on YouTube. It's flawless, the mix is great, and she plays enough to the audience and the camera to make it interactive, but also concentrates LOADS on her playing. Musicians could learn alot from this vid.

actually, im a music (voice) major and in addition to singing for 7 years, i have played piano, guitar, and violin for over 8 years. i can easily play any of the aforementioned instruments with my eyes closed because i dont spend my entire time that i play looking at my hands, and any experianced instrumentalist could do the same. and although im not in the habit of singing/playing at the same time, after playing a song enough it becomes 2nd nature. so adding in singing would be no big feat.

i looked up a tori amos video to see what she sounded like, because i had heard that she was pretty good. well fucking sorry but in my opinion she is horrible. the lyrics make no sense and her pronunciation is really weird and grates on my nerves. the only thing good about this song is the actual music part, which really has nothing to do with tori amos besides her little piano part.

I think that's the good thing about her. She doesn't really care about opinions like this, and doesn't try to fake or perform something what's not her. She is 100% honest and never boring or out of passion.
