  • i bought the 5k and they have a blue tint on them..

  • wish one is better for my nissan sentra 2002????

  • I got 6000k and they look white on my integra. One things is if you look at them by the side they kind of do have a blueish tint. I live in SD now and police have never pull me over. Except once but because my license plate lighting was dimming... I have to replace them anyone know of any good lighting?

  • can someone tell me what's the difference between osram66040 d2s an philips 85122+ d2s oh yea both are 4300k please respond

  • i want the bluest blue you can get out of these bulbs so what can i go with?

  • @85typet 10000 the best blue

  • @X11Silent11X try again thats purple and not street legal

  • @85typet 8 k

  • @85typet 15,000k

  • Respect

  • I tend to c that cars with stock hid lighting give off more light than those conversion kits ive had 4300k stock n they gave off a light blue

  • @MrDede2011 the color shift is from the high quality lenses they are using thats why the beamers and audis give you that purple as they go over bumps

  • @Clipzin33 Actually the effect is the same when looking through cheap binoculars or a cheapo telescope - you see purple colour fringes around the edges. Caused by simple optics. Well, that's also the case with most projector lenses, which have simple optics compared to a quality optical instrument. They're only for directing a beam of light onto the road, not for quality images..and everyone likes that blue/purple flash..

  • @den2003 Correct, but alot of these guys dont get that and go and buy 8 or 10k and don't have shit for lumen output.

  • @Clipzin33 Even 8000k should be a vast improvement over stock halogens, though. Most people who would go buy HIDs will have halogens.

  • @xex2kok Yo're not telling me anything i dont already know

  • @Clipzin33 Then act like it rather than trying to say that 8k and 10k is bad light output, its still perfectly fine.

  • less lumens are produced after 6000k, thus reducing your visibility... stick with 6000k or below if you want functionality, if you don't care about seeing the road at night and only want cool blue/purple headlights, then go with a higher temp

  • 600k or 5000k is the best for a Range Rover/BMW kinda look.

  • 10000

  • '

i like diamond white HID is better

  • this video is very mislead if you want white you 8k if you want deep blue you get 10k if you want purple you can get 16 or 18 but it tends to be pink anything lower the 8k is a waste of money

  • @sickpalms 8000K is blue, bright blue. White is 5000K, and by far the most brightest are between 4200K and 5000K. Anything higher will decrease significantly in intensity. Anything over 6000K will make you look like a Civic driver, and will probably just make you look foolish (and leave you driving in the dark).

  • Depending on where you live HID conversion may be illegal. In my country they are only legal if the car originally came with them, or the headlight assembly is a projector type designed to take HID. No projector conversion results in a fine every time.

  • Im trying to go for the whitest possible color considering the cops around my area are dickheads about HID's. So is 5000k a better choice or 6000k? I keep hearing 6000k has a blue tint to it but it doesnt look like it from this video but some others look blue. Let me know

  • I originally thought that my 6K HID lights were great, however I was out in the pissing rain last night, and I could barely see the white lines on the road.

I put in my stock HIR lights, and took a drive down the same road. No comparision, the stock HIR lights are staying. The HID look great when the road is dry, but when it is wet, it is like driving with no lights. Perhaps a lower color temp would be better, but I am not wasting more money to take a chance.

  • @vicfirthplayer Get 4,300 k. It's what all the BMWs have.

  • @vicfirthplayer that is what i was thinking. believe it or not, OEM use 4100k-4300k for the whitest light. if you go any higher than that, you are losing visible light.

  • @01jordanfirst correct, thanks for saving me from posting that

  • @Clipzin33 no prob. i should also mention that for the first 100 hours or so of run time, 4100-4300k headlights tend to be yellowish. after then they turn to stock white.

  • @01jordanfirst Got ya man, I have 4300 in my car in projectors

  • @vicfirthplayer

    4300k

  • @vicfirthplayer yep thats cops for you,too bad we cant throw donuts at them to distract them.

  • @vicfirthplayer yeah 6000k has a blue ring in the light around the edges of the light beam so i'd go with 5000k

  • @vicfirthplayer 6 will be a white light with a hint of blue.......8k will actually look blue ect ect

  • @vicfirthplayer The 6000k are white. They seem to be the brightest and the ones you can see the best with. My buddy has them on his 04 Civic and they look sharp. And the cops shouldn't give you ANY issues regarding them.

  • @chester0922 u r dumb

  • @chester0922 Actually, 4,300k are the brightest, and the best ones for lighting. 6000k has a blue tint and looks cool, but it's definitely not the best to go with. 5000k is a good middle ground, and your less likely to get pulled over.

  • @vicfirthplayer i hope you went with 5000k

  • quick question, okay I already have HID kits in my car, a bulb died so Im replacing both, now do I have to get 8000k bulbs again or since i have HID kits can I get any hid bulb? someone told me i can get 10000k if I want but I thought u needed a different KIT

  • Can you tell me What HID-lights that will fit in 2011-2012 Ford Fusion .

I'm looking for HID-Head-light kit about 6-8000k Or Xenon kits if they have them?

    & Yellow HID-Fog. for the Fog-lights .

  • i thought 12000K looks more violet?

  • I HAVE A VAGINA

  • thanks finally helped end a dispute with a friend over ricers and their after market headlights haha

  • if i have a 600 watt amp, and a electric radiator fan,(both wired directly to the positive battery terminal) should i have to worry about shortages in power from a single alternator if i install hid lights?

  • cool song. Does anybody knows the name?

  • I HAVE A PENIS

  • Check out the 50 000K ones...they are amazing

  • @Cronndo I actually bought them because I found my OEM stock bulbs to be not bright enough and I made my eyes extremely tired when driving at night. I have 8000K and always make sure I put on my low beam in on-coming traffic. I do not regret these, it makes my much more comfortable driving at night and feel a lot safer, especially when my 2 year old daughter is in the vehicle. Yeah, some folks buy them just to be douche bags, but a lot buy them for safety reasons.

  • 5000K is the brightest

  • My aunt has a ALTIMA 3.5SR And it has HID'S. BUT IT HAS NO PROJECTORS. but its legal and really blue. Well as blue as my aftermarket kit

  • hid bulbs are not legal in reflecter headlights that were made for hilegen bulbs even if they are E marked - you need to fit new headlight units that are made to use hid bulbs. after market headlights have a sticker saying HID BULBS NOT ALLOWED

THATS THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTS WORDING

however i fitted projecter head lights with hid bulbs to high and low beams and no one ever flashes me any more REAL VAMPIRE KILLERS

  • Colors and lumens depends of the company. I bought 35w 12 000k and they are light blue

  • sorry for stupid question but, are those different lights, or is the same and it can be adjust?

  • 6000k is the best. They are sufficient in lighting the road and look cool too. My stock 4300k lights are bright, but are the color of halogen lights. yuck

  • so is 6000k the whitest

  • HID's do not come stock in reflectors, as that is quite illegal.

  • which is the better for the more blue effect. 6000 or 8000?

  • @racerjj55 8000k, just put em on my runner

  • is 8000K bright enough for the roads? as in..... still brighter than regular bulbs right?

  • I have a 2005 wrx with halogens, and i plan on buying an HID conversion kit soon. Which of these is brightest and most efficient? or is it just personal color preferance? I also don't want to get pulled over if a cop thinks i have "colored" blue lights.

Also, should i convert both high and low beams to HID's?

    any input would be appreciated!

  • @Krimghor the lower the number, the brighter the light. The brightest is around 4300k-5000k. 6000k and 8000k light the road well. 10000k and above is too blue/dull for my taste. it is not recommended to convert hi beams to HID.

  • @jamclam1 Thank you, bro! It's freaking annoying seeing those idiots driving behind with hi beams on.

  • @Krimghor the lower the number, the brighter the light. The brightest is around 4300k-5000k. 6000k and 8000k light the road well. 10000k and above is too blue/dull for my taste. it is not recommended to convert hi beams to HID.

  • @PuddiTrololol i have a bumgina

  • @richard2590w you have blue waffle?

  • @PuddiTrololol wtf lol

  • @PuddiTrololol ...But the clown has no penis

  • @PuddiTrololol I don't think so.

  • @PuddiTrololol Oh my, really? Do you touch it?

  • @PuddiTrololol and it glows HID style? Call the doc!

  • @PuddiTrololol i guess ur wife wearing sunglasses :D

  • I GOT 30K HID ON A REFLECTOR AND NO CARS EVER FLASH DER LIGHTS AT ME U MUST BE HAVING URE LIGHTS WRONG

  • Actually Reshoe87 4300k has the most light output and is the closest to natural daylight

  • i got the 8000k lights and they flicker and i dont have a high beam are they suppose to do that..

  • @40ozsipper Same HEre :(

  • @40ozsipper keep the servo in a spot where it doesnt have alot of vibration that might be why

  • @cricket12ish

ya ill do that, hope that works. thanks....

  • Where can I purchase a compatible HID kit for the 2011 Explorer? It comes with projector headlights so I probably don't have to worry about being an ass out on the road. Which one gives a rich white color (Some light blue but not so blue) and still be bright?

  • well i did and nobodys ever flashed me soooooo idk bout that shit

  • My 2003 Lexus Is300 has H.ID but without Projector. Btw it's all stock....

  • Nice try, but every single one of those uses a PROJECTOR for the HID. The reflectors ONLY come from the factory with HALOGEN bulbs.

People, DESPITE WHAT THIS MORON IS (UNSUCCESSFULLY) TRYING TO PROVE, YOU CAN NOT PUT HID BULBS INTO A REFLECTOR HOUSING WITHOUT IT CAUSING BLINDING GLARE TO ONCOMING DRIVERS. DON'T DO IT!

  • I don't it all right? I have mazda3 they have the projector lights if am not mistaken 10k look the most purple and but mine looks really blue ugh not cool I wanted a more white

  • 5 and 6 best I think = daylight

  • Since it's been asked a few times and not answered, NONE of these are technically street legal. If you install ANY HID bulb into a headlamp designed for a halogen bulb, you can get a ticket and fail a safety inspection (not to mention you're being an asshole to everyone who has to be blinded by the glare from them). The "more legal and courteous" way is to install them into PROJECTOR housings. That is the only proper way to use HID's. However, it doesn't make them officially "legal".

  • @MobileTaz IF IT IS NOT PROPER .THEN TELL ME WHY SOME MANUFACTURERS DID USED HID'S ON REFLECTOR HOUSINGS ???????

  • @Audorax There is not a single manufacturer that puts an HID bulb in a reflector housing. Every car that leaves the factory with HID's has them in a projector.

  • @MobileTaz 2000 gmc envoy, 2002 cadillac escalade, 2000 mercedes e500,

    2003 lexus ls430,2001 mercedes s500, 2003 acura tl.2001 mercedes ml55.

2004 lexus gs, 2003 toyota prius,2006 lincoln navigator among others... just do not mention that

HID cannot be used in reflectors, projectors are far more popular now, but

there is nothing wrong using them in reflectors.

  • @Audorax its not completely cut and dry about projector lenses and reflectors. Many cars have reflector headlights that come with hid's, but for the cars that don't come with them and you do install hid's chances are there is some extra stray lights blinding people, so pointing them down is a good way to get around blinding people but if the car is old enough chances are the housings still can't direct the light properly. there is no black and white to this issue. it depends on the car.

  • which ones are illegal here in CA..???? 8k 10k 12k...??? i want 12k on my Fog lights..

  • @elchakaz I just put 10000k on my 09 Altima just yesterday. I LOVE the color, but Im still a little worried that I might get messed with by the local PD... I did pass about 4 cops head on during my trip home. It was 2 in the morning, and I would assume if they were going to mess with me, that would have been a perfect opportunity...Im in Sacramento btw... to be honest, cops will mess with you if they feel like it, plain and simple. Stock OR h.i.d.

  • 10k and 12k should infact be switched around.

  • Which of these are street legal in Pennsylvania?

  • Hey guys. My 12ks on my silverado look like the 12k color shown on this vid. I figured my 12ks would turn out the color of those 10ks shown. Kinda weird. I installed one fog lite 12k and had the 6k bulb in the other to compare an the 12k was a blue/purple. Once I installed the other 12k bulb it seemed they both got whiter ?? Bad connection what y'all think ?

  • the 12000 K should look more purple-ish than 10000K

  • @djyangsta 3000k

  • are this zion hid

  • Just installed 8000k's on my Sonoma.

  • @carson0524 did the 8000k look good? i have a 2000 S-10 and cant decide between 6000k and 8000k thanks

  • @veltdog09 The 8000k look great on my truck. I manly got them cause they go with my paint job, cause my paint is a dark blue. 8000k is almost purple and the 6000k is like a light blue white. I'd recommend the 8000k to anybody. I went through the same dilemma between getting 8000k or 6000k.

  • @carson0524 yea? my truck is also dark blue lol like most sonomas and s10 plus i have all blue neons inside. so i guess ill get the 8000k thanks!

  • i think 12k bulbs makes the car look cheap,5k allday!!

  • Shouldn't 10k and 12k be switched around? i thought 12k is more purple than blue?

Ask more if needed bud :)

  • You would think so, but this is actual footage I recorded my self of me testing the bulbs

  • Hmmm, Interesting, I have H1 & H3 at 10,000k going into low beam and fog lamp both in Projectors, what color do you think they will turn out in them?

Also, does it make a difference if they are in H1 compared to 9006 and Bi_xenon ones?

Ask more if needed bud :)

  • @HIDKitcom maybe you accidently switched the bulbs?....

  • @HIDKitcom you probably mixed up the 10000k with the 12000k then

  • @HIDKitcom haha yeah but i orded 2 5000k HID bulbs and would you believe... 1 was fucking blue. just coz it say it 10000k or wat not doen't mean that that bulb is 10000k, ya know. but in the true colour "color" 12000k is more purple and 10000k

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk I thought the same exact thing when I saw it... I'm thinking of getting 10ks, but a lot of people say they're way too bright...

  • @CoupeDeville23 Ive got 12000k's on my bmw.

  • @CoupeDeville23 10000k isnt bright or brighter, 6000k is diamond white with the most light output (it has a pure daylight look). the higher the number the less the light output but more color hue. for example 6000K (diamond white) has more lumens then 8000k (blue hue) or 12000k(ever more blue) (not trying to be an ass by correcting your comment, just dont want people to read this and get the wrong idea before they purchase)

  • @Reshoe87 all I said was that people say they're too bright... I didn't claim them to be brighter than others....

  • @Reshoe87 seems you like you know what youre talking about lol..i wanna get some for my ride..i got projectors and i was think about going with the 8000k or 10000k..should i not?

  • @dillhole it all depends on what you like, i just ordered 10000k for my truck and the wife doesnt like the blueish look so i got her the 6000k. 10000k still puts out alot of light VERY noticable from the halogens, you wont be disappointed with the 8000k or 10000k. i suggest getting the bi-xenon with the high and low beam unless you have seperate bulbs for high and low. Also, please re-adjust your headlights with the new brighter bulbs for the sake of others :)

  • @Reshoe87 thanks dude..my car has projectors so no matter what k i go i wont look like an asshole hahah..ive decided to go with 8000k for the lows and just leave my highs alone becuase theyre bright as fuck lol

  • @Reshoe87 See thats my problem with deciding which ones to get ive been researching yet some 12k's look purple then the others are blue which is it im lookin for a darkish blue

  • @kecks69cam for dark blue, i would say to go with 8000K.

  • @powermaks Yeah, then if you want dark blue with a little purple go for 10000k

  • @BoxerMuscleMilk I'm not sure how these images were captured, but generally consumer cameras try to balance their colors based on what they think is white. With this in mind the camera could have adjusted between any of the pictures and skewed the colors.
