  • I'd just pop the kennel owner over the head and he could wake up nakid in one of those soiled kennels. With a padlock on the gate. Leave him there for 3 days. Nothing but a bucket of slimey water and a mound of shredded paper. Good times.

  • i have an 11 year old greyhound, a retired racer. shes my world. find her on youtube. smoking jordan. love the breed, they love you back.

  • The owner of these kennels should be ashamed if he has kept them locked up for a couple of days without food, being cleaned or seeing anyone.

And to tell a Kennelhand not to change the beds because they haven't got any bedding is a disgrace.......

However, this kennel, thankfully, is in a minority as I work in a Greyhound Kennel where they are spotless! A child cud live in them they are so clean.

Greyhounds really do love their racing and are looked after better than any pet dog boarding kennel

  • I am completely against greyhound racing. People think that it is cool yet they don't know what happens after the lights are out at the race track. I have a greyhound of my own and it breaks my heart how people can be so selfish with these elegant animals.

  • @Cowgal2000 i resent your remarks i race greyhounds and ther fed on the best and stay in the best there shown love and trained properly and when required the get the best medical advise so we are not all the same thank you and im very succsessful in what i do

  • @juv7 If you put them on the track you put them in harms way case closed end of story. THe injury reports speak for themselves.

  • Race cars, not animals

  • I have retired racers.I love them.

However,I really must ask all owners of retirees...would you actually pay a fair price for a grey if you couldn't get one for peanuts off the track?

Sadly,l know the answer would be no.When I've told my rescue friends how much a non racer bred grey is worth they have looked at me slack jawed.Confused.Most have never fairly purchased a well bred anything.

Without access to racers, their 'forever homers' will become dreaded puppy millers to fill the niche.

  • Thanx for speaking out. I don't understand something.. I would have thought if a person wanted to make money in racing and breeding they would want their dogs in top form and unhygienic bedding and kennels would risk them losing their ":ïnvestments" to disease, I think these dogs need a couch and loving families.

  • great video well done cheers from australia .

  • The breed would not die out as greyhounds are fantastic companion animals as thousands of people already know.

Just look at some the wonderful greyhound videos on YouTube

  • @jogon2009 How can you possibly say that greyhounds are boring and they would not die out to say such a thing is just absurd.

  • @jogon2009 you are a FOOL! Boring as pets?! OMFG are you serious?!

  • @jogon2009 Saying that greyhounds are born to run is like saying women were born to cook and clean. Its merely opinion and very tasteless at that. Greyhounds are born to sleep on couches and be loved family members, not to be used by degenerate gamblers for income.

They deserve the same protection as any other dog.

    End racing.

  • I agree with exactly what has been put here and FULLY SUPPORT YOUR ACTIONS - i just didnt want everyone to think that all greyhound trainers are like this and keep their dogs in these conditions. Well done for speaking out and the action that has been taken and keep up the good work!!! x

  • Hi

I used to work for a greyhound trainer and THEY ARE NOT ALLL LIKE THIS scum. Infact the trainer i worked for (Peter Payne, Romford) cared more for his dogs than us and anything else and they were all treated with the utmost of care and attention and if a dog didnt take to it then he didnt force it onto the dog at all even though they wernt his dogs he was training most of the time... so please do not tar every single greyhound trainer with the same brush. x

  • Hi Spinner

Greyhound protection groups dont tar everyone with the same brush.

In this case the GBGB sanctioned the disgusting conditions in these kennels and I think it only fair to question how many more kennels of this standard - or worse - are accepted by the industry's governing bodies.

The woman was clearly in breach of Racing Rules and the Animal Welfare Act but has been given a grant and allowed to continue to 'care' for greyhounds.

The GBGB are perverting the course of justice!

  • @SPINNER198323 what did peter payne do with his dogs after their racing life was over. Could he be thinking more of the dogs wellbeing because its the most important part of training a dog to ensure its in great health. I dont mind people owning dogs and racing them but first they must be treated as pets and a dog is for life is followed.

  • @SPINNER198323

I would assert that all greyhound racing enthusiasts are mongrel bastards, they are just at different places on the same scale.

  • I suggest that anyone who sees this emails it on far and wide, puts it onto as many forums as possible and shows the world what is allowed to happen to animals in "Great" Britain today.

Keep up the good work T. :-)

  • how is it possible that those noble creatures have ended up in these kind of poor conditions? It shows once again that this industry has to end!

    STOP GREYHOUNDRACING!
