  • @qgwueirbtbyo those thingy facing the HOLES and SPITING SUMTIN are called "FUEL INJECTORS"

    ... and the HOLE is where air passes in are called "AIR INTAKE TUBES" , it reacts or it OPENS when you press the "ACCELERATOR" ~ I hope this helps

  • @honoratosamurai Why are they shooting fuel into the ITB's? I think he might of said why but I missed it or is it something other than fuel? And also why do they do that instead of injecting it straight into whatever it normally sprays into. Sorry i'm not very literate when it comes down to specific parts and what they do.

  • @ITsIMP0RT4NT It's suppose to shoot fuel into the ITBs. The fuel rails connect the injectors into the ITB either before or after the throttle. If it had an intake manifold, which the ITB replaces, the fuel injectors would go into the intake manifold. Dunno if that made sense. I'm explaining with the basis that you know something about the parts I'm telling you about.

  • just a question, with the intake setup u guys have, this is almost a cosmetic question, sence intake is slightly above the hood line, while on a track that should have some type of ram air benefit, if u was to dyno ur car with a 100mph wind going over the hood bet u would make more HP, hope that makes sense

  • @boomerlineberry1 its almost negligeable. ram air only really works in jet airplanes. cars dont achieve enough speed

  • @XXXTITEXXX This is a race engine, which in theory will be rebuilt very often so the small amount of dirt sucked in is not a problem. To be honest nowadays air filters are so good they really do not restrict the airflow enough to warrant not running one.

  • @xstr33tr4cerx Thats not even a question you want a black top because of the t28 is in the black top and the retop has a t25 so you go for black top... Fuck honda one two no honda makes as much torque as a sr20.. Even if that honda k series made 350 hp the torque was garbage.. An sr20 pritty much has the same horsepower and torque depending on the cams tune and setup

  • @xstr33tr4cerx No it cant there completely different head designs... honda's open deck nismo is closed deck.. not only that nissan has a better head design for torque honda is better for horsepower.. Thats why the k20 had trouble keeping up with the sr20ve cause it had more torque and a wider power bend..

  • @Hooks59804 - you can and cant, the way they are are normal. The stacks are long and they cut the hood. Its fine for racing going for max airflow. But if you drive it daily, you want them stacks protected from crap going inside the motor and assist in blowing it up.

  • @Hooks59804 - also they are either using double the injectors for max hp. Usually the extra 4 injectors come on later at a pre set rpm (high rpms for high reving motors). OR just using big ones (not 8 total injectors) at the end of the velocity stacks. Advantages of the injectors being that far is more or less allowing the fuel to fully atomize and also allow it, i could be wrong, but the distance also allows for the air n fuel to also swirl in better together. Not sure if they explain it on vid

  • are those injectors at the trumpets a 2nd set? n if they are could u get them to come on at the same time vtec switches cam profiles so ya not just spraying fuel at a the bvalve causing nothing but wasted fuel. its agood idea but it looked like u were just wetting the valve not actually getting fuel in properly with the air. just a thought so u not wasting fuel. should give u a better kick at vtec rpm n better fuel air mixture. Thats what id do anyway.

    horsepower per liter is actually unusable measurement. something else goes for horsepower per weight.

    but you have to admit that american huge V8's do their job pretty well. I love chevy and mopar. The insane torque of a 6+ l V8 is monsterous. Thus charge those things and you get 2000 hp easily. Most of the JDM engines cant reach that mark. V8's are the way to go for really BIG power. NHRA hemis' push out 8000

  • @manny9800 No is disputing whether the car is fast or not, but like you just stated, power to weight. If the car wasn't gutted, it wouldn't be that fast. Case in point, the AMS guys. Look at their Evo's and the FULL interior times they run. World's fastest S4 runs 10's with a full interior and that's 3600 lbs. A hatch with well over 300 whp N/A IS DAMN IMPRESSIVE, just don't say that it's the end all to everything else when it's completely gutted and devoid of anything besides a seat and dash.

  • engine size is between 2.4 and 2.6 liters, but its still a shit load of power for that displacement and number of cylinders

  • Don't listen to the guy before you brotha. Honda makes their engine code according to the liter output, so everything's real simple. K20 is 2.0 liters, K24A is 2.4 liters (that's the fast one, lol, but they don't fit in Civics). You know, B16 is 1.6, and so on. Just a little piece of knowledge that's useful.

  • @erdaylike24se7en at the cran that camaro has 175HP and 270TQ, so at the wheels i'd say 130HP and 225TQ because of drivetrain power loss, and this is off the lot in 1979, civic has 341HP and 234TQ, ofcorse i speak if the camaro's engine hasnt been touched, who know. but still the HP/TQ:weight ratio just out classes that camaro by a long shot, this car is probably good for 11s, that camaro is good for about 14s if stock (im also being generous with the camaros times)

  • @BYCURE213 I understand what you're saying, but the fastest Honda's are all gutted. I give props where props are due, but run those times with a full interior. That's why these things are so fast, they barely tip the scales at 2000lbs. Look at the AMS crew and their times with FULL interiors. There's no comparison. Not taking anything away from the Honda guys, but a gutted car running those times isn't all that impressive.

  • @Jersey601 stripping the car is all personal choice, i dont drag race my hatch i run Canyons but i did strip mine down, i dont like interior though and it helps with acceleration, cornering and fuel economy... but ive seen people running fully built, caged civics with a full interior...but thats where hondas shine, they are light weight cars... its like shoving a huge V8 in a Vega... the lighter you are the better so why not take it a step further? lol
