  • Why didn she sung Chritine in the movie??????

  • I LOVE HER...SO MUCH...SO PURE...PERFECT YOUNG AND TRAIND SOUND. PERFECT

  • Best Christine EVER! I adore her, such a beautfiul sound!

  • oh this is awesome! I've always thought of katie hall as the best christine but I may need to adjust my opinion. My god this girl is amazing, she actually dares to do something different with everything... Shes singing it in a very renewing way which makes it so pleasant to watch!

  • BEST. CHRISTINE. EVER. (Well, along with Sarah of course lol) :D

  • Is this from a high school production ?

  • @thebackgroundartiste Yes, and the girl here is a freshman in high school. She's never taken a single lesson in her life, isn't that awesome? So good for fourteen.

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Oh ! You were teasing me weren't you ? Why did you subscribe to my channel ?

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Ha! Nice

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan this is definitely the London Cast!! not a high school production!

  • @Beninjam91 OF COURSE I know that! The art of trolling, my friend. The person asked if this is a HS production, and I had to be sarcastic!

  • @thebackgroundartiste Well if it were, it would be an extremely high quality performance...

  • @thebackgroundartiste ummmmmmm noooooo???? this is a professional production of phantom of the opera in west end, london

  • I think Maria has been runnin around in the mountains too much and ended up in the phantom of the opera... This is soooo Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music! I LOVE IT!!! =) bravo bravo!!!

  • OMG - the end was OUTSTANDING!!!

  • I actually think Gina is the best Christine London has ever had.

  • Dammmn, her voice is so rich and smooth. Like dove dark chocolate :) I like her face at 3:28

  • I actually saw this the day before the recording. The memories - they're making me teary eyed.

  • @INTHEJUNGLE123 okay everyone is entitled to their own opinion and stuff but theres no need to be so rude, im not having a go just, dont be so harsh, she would have been offered the role if she was that awful

  • Best Christine is Sierra Boggess, IMHO...

Gina is good, but smth is wrong with her vibrations...

  • She is great and i am seeing her as glinda but i love lou

  • Perfect performance and completely beautiful but she really needs to control some of her vibrato......

  • Wow! I have never heard her before, but her voice! It's so rich and smooth!

  • shes awesome! just a quick question...why are there 2 sets of lyrics? i have the original cast on my iPod and the lyrics are different. were they both written by charles hart?

  • @jacci004 It's not uncommon for the libretto of a musical or opera to change or adapt in small ways as time goes by, particularly while the authors are still living. New inspiration strikes, and little tweaks are made. Or sometimes directors/producers will make cuts or changes to better suit their vision of a particular production.

  • they changed her ><!

  • @WickedFan157 Aha yes! With Rachel and Louise, incredible cast. Wish I had seen the recent one with mark, Lewis was a bit bland vocally and character wise.

  • @WickedFan157 aha well obviously ;) Louise is unbeatable in my opinion.

  • 3.18-3.45 will someone please teach me how to do this!

  • Now that's an operatic ending! Wonderful!!

  • Does anyone know where I might be able to find a studio version of this? Or one that is HD? I can't find the 2010's cast recording to buy anywhere, I want it so bad :C

  • Interested to see her Glinda, somehow don't think she can beat Louise's diva-ness.

  • Gina beck is probably and will forever will be the best Christine I've ever seen grace the west end stage absolutely love this woman <3 she just makes the character her own

  • First time I've watched "Think of Me" where I've actually gotten the sense that Christine has a personality. I love the way she uses her scarf, and how she sings the sings the cadenza: like she's having fun discovering her voice for the first time, the way a normal teenager would react. She really does a good job of portraying Christine's youth, a quality most of the American Christines seem to lack...

  • I'm not much of a fan of Phantom, but Gina is undoubtedly talented and I think she will make a wonderful Glinda in Wicked.

  • Is this for trade?

  • hate sarah LOVE gina

  • She is just lovely:) and beautiful :)

  • SHE IS GREAT!!!!

  • I love Gina and Sierra as Christine. The best two christine's imo

  • FANTASTIC! AMAZING! The best Cristine i've ever seen !!! BRAVO !!

  • Wow, that cadenza was flawless, it looked so easy for her...this makes me want to spend the rest of my week in the practice rooms working on my voice!

  • Would you happen to have the whole show? :)

  • Oh My she is one of the most amazing Christine's i have ever heard! I hove her voice and i love what she did with the beginning.

  • .... she has a good voice the acting could use a bit of work christine never RAN around the stage during the preformance while singing..

  • one of my favourite Christines, no doubt !! got the chance to see her alive last year, simply gorgeous :D

  • Who played Raoul?

  • Just lovely- and really good quality video! Gina really is a first-rate Christine.

Still, I just... wasn't convinced. There are so many sopranos out there who, though they are musical theater singers, can produce an imitation of an operatic sound for this role, but Gina Beck just can't seem to sell it to me.

That said, she is lovely, and that cadenza... WOW!

  • @AceofGallifrey I love Gina - I think she's the ultimate Christine! I've never grown to even like most Christines (Jennifer Hope Wills, Sandra Joseph, Julie Hanson, etc. - generally mostly american ones, I don't know why though) but Gina just embodies the role. I don't think there's been a better actress as Christine in all 25 years it's been running... at least that I know of. Thank you for commenting!

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Oh, she's definitely the best ACTRESS in the role... but would it kill her to lift her soft palate to produce a little bit rounder, thicker sound? It's one thing for the rest of the show, but for Think of Me and PONR, where Christine is on stage, singing opera, she really should at least *try* to imitate an operatic sound!

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan I'm just like you when it comes to not liking some of the American Christines (and I'm American too). I think it's the fact that I've gotten so used to hearing the ones from the West End that now whenever I listen to any of the American one's, I hear them pronouncing there R's so much. Sierra Boggess is the only American Christine that I truly like a lot. Gina is one of the best. If they hadn't chosen Sierra for the role of Christine, Gina would have been a great choice!

  • @AceofGallifrey yeah...i actually thought it was pretty terrible, that top note was ...flat and just not pleasant...sorry I'm sure this will offend someone! lol. But im a huge fan of phantom..and I've seen it many times. this particular clip, IMO, is not a great production.

  • @Kate1620 Production...you mean the London production? The one that started the musical in the first place? I think you may have a problem with the actress, but not the production itself.

  • OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD ASJDKLJASKFKRLJIASKDJALSDKJERSLDKRJEALSMDF

  • That WILL be me someday...:D

  • @RybakAndEdenLover wow:) wish I could say the same for myself!

  • @NYCprincess7 Of course you can! I am from Norway and I'm still determined to be a star in England! :P

  • @RybakAndEdenLover Aww, thanx for the encouragement:) I wanna be on Brodaway in New York and I'm already in the U.S. so thats not my issue. I just don't know if I have what it takes.I'm hoping with enough hard work I'll at least get into a tour or something:) I hope you go very far too! Maybe we will preform together:) :) :)

  • @NYCprincess7 That would be very fun!:D

  • saw this cast 3 times.. saw the raul before this guy and this raul.. he was defo the weakest raul i have ever seen .. and i have seen the she in total 6 times

  • She's taking over the role of Glinda from Louise Dearman in the London production of "Wicked."

  • Amazing quality!!

  • LOL simon bailey <3 <3 <3 love him XD

  • I'm here coz I'm a hardcore wicked fan and I simply CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER AS GLINDA!! she looks like she'll be amazing!

  • i can't wait to see her as glinda :D x

  • the new glinda

  • just keep replaying to hear that ending bit, jesus christ

  • The New Glinda in Wicked as of Dec 12th! BIG shoes to fill after Louise, but her voice is gorgeous <3

  • I miss her Christine :( Best Christine, in my opinion!

  • barry (opera house owner) is one of my good friends and know gina (christine) through him

  • I miss Gina as Christine :(

  • Nice

  • Seeing someone who can actually act as well as sing in this part is a revelation.

  • Gina is So beautiful. she is such a lovely actress, and she potrays the role of Christine so wonderfully!

  • haha makes u want to re do the film again. butler and emmy rossum were not the best choices for that moive...and forgot minnie driver hehe

another girl I heard from Argentina which I thought was amazing also was Guadalupe Cristina she´s also amazing!!!!!!

  • Oh gosh, I saw her in London in 2009, and she was amazing!

  • If only we had Gina Beck in the 25th anniversary concert. *sigh*

  • @PittsBurghFuzz I know what you mean. I love Sierra but I was really hoping Gina would be Christine. Especially with performances like this.

  • @PittsBurghFuzz But Sierra is so amaaaaaaaazing. Sigh. Only Christine I would put over Gina Beck.

  • LOL XD i always laugh when raoul stands up and starts clapping like that XD yay simon XD

and gina was awsome the time i saw her

  • Whoa, what a cadenza! I have never heard the cadenza sung that way before - it is brilliant! She's gorgeous.

  • The ending is INCREDIBLE.

  • I've been watching this repeatedly and I'm still smiling like an idiot- I just love how happy she looks. And that cadenza was brilliant.

  • Holy crap!!!! Now THAT is more like it. Best Christine I have ever heard.

  • @bwyfan19 I agree, she's so amazing it's hard to believe! In the past 10 years, the british Christines have all been marvelous - in contrast with the american Christines...

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Sierra Boggess is my favorite Christine and she's american, but I see your point... West End Christines are much more into character and less 'operatic' , so Gina is a very close second :)

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan

Your sweeping generalization makes me sad for you. Sarah Brightman (British) and Rebecca Pitcher (American) tie, in my opinion, for worst Christines.

Gina Beck (British) and Trista Moldovan (American) tie for best.

If you judge an artist primarily on country of origin, you're losing out on good art.

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Sierra Boggess is an amazing Christine, but so is Gina Beck. However in my opinion, Sierra is better.

  • @bwyfan19 I wish she could have been Christine in the 25th Anniversary Concert. Sheesh. Sierra was good. At points.A. Her British accent was ATROCIOUS. B. The way she pronounced her "a" 's was very odd. C. She was pitchy at moments also. Such a shame......

  • jesus christ! madame giry stop banging your cane! (do you know who was phantom that night?)

  • @TheTitanic4 It was David Shannon

  • Wow! She is the Christine I've seen in London last July! She is terribly amazing!

One of my greatest inspiration in singing and acting! Thanks for posting!!! :)))

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan do you have any more videos from this show? I'll trade generously -- message me for my list. I have tons of rare stuff.

  • so sweet and innocent, shes so much like Christine!

  • WOW!

She is how Christine should be! Young, beautiful, pure voice...

She's up there with Sierra Boggess for me (I'm not favoring Sierra just because she's in Love Never Dies.. She was actually the first Christine I saw in Phantom in Vegas about 5 years ago. She has been my favorite since then. Yes.. I am showing off)

  • @greenelphiexoxo I feel like she's a much stronger actress than Sierra - which is why I prefer Gina over Sierra. And her voice is more... friendly? Less "heavy" coloratura, more disney-Snowhite-soprano! Both are lovely though.

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Gina is a better actress actually! She's alot more natural!

I still like both of them for voice, they're both gorgeous!

Gina seems to embody Christine the most, though!

  • @greenelphiexoxo Yes, they are!

  • WOWOWOWOW!

  • Best Christine I've ever seen.

  • do you have the whole show? i would love to trade for it if you do :)

  • She embodies Christine. While many Christine's have the voice of an angel, Gina is the only one that actually is really really pretty. Her voice, in my opinion, sounds like a girl who is a bit new to Opera, but is stunning in it's own, light, and melodic way. Also, she LOOKS how Christine should look. She is desirable, unlike how many other Christine's might not look as "pretty", regardless of their voice.

  • @AlanaCorey agreed on that note. However, I think what makes those actresses less attractive is the Christine wig and make up. Gina really looks beautiful in full costume, where as Rebecca Pitcher (US) does not do so well in costume, but looks very pretty in her "normal" hair, make up and wardrobe. Another Christine that looks well in costume is Jennifer Hope Wills (US), where as Sofia Escobar, though she is beautiful out of costume, does not look right for the role, though her voice is divine.

  • @AlanaCorey gina is born to play christine ;)

  • do you have the whole show ?

  • She is amazing! Don't think much of the man though!

  • She is amazing! But I have to say that I prefer Sofia Escobar who was playing Christine when I saw Phantom in London last week! Beautiful voice! x

  • This video is AMAZING, would you make my life complete and trade me for it?

  • Do you have the full show? if so do you trade? lol. This quality is utterly amazing.

  • who was the conductor? it's a bit too fast

  • I want to be Chiristine's part mor then anything in the world she has been my dream part every since i was a little girl, phantom is my fave show ever and i hope one day i can be a part of this beautiful show i am praying to the show god's lol

  • @phantomlover1000 Good luck, I wish you the best in your career!

  • Do you have some video with David Shannon?

  • Wow. I hope someday I can sing like her. A lot of my friends say I'm crazy over Phantom, but it's just cause I really wanna make it there to be able to sing Christine's part, and that is why I pray I don't become an alto all of the sudden.

  • @Jtsongcat Good luck with your career m'dear! xx

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Thanks so much!

  • wow that was the highest note i have heard a christine sing. and it was amazing!!! i love gina she is amazing! :)

  • shes magical

  • is this a full show??or just highlights

  • @AbbyJade09 Yeah, exactly! She's just wonderful. I love that London casts Christine around 23-26 which is the best age for Christine, while Broadway has 40 year old actresses for the role!

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan Well, not necessarily 40 year old actresses/sopranos on broadway, but more mature with a very cultured voice to match. On tour, Trista Moldovan, the final tour's Christine, was around 29.

  • @titanicfinatic Kimilee Bryant is 41 (recent Broadway Cover) JHW is 38, Marni Raab is in her mid-30's, as well as Elizabeth Loyacano, and Sandra Joseph is in her early 40's now, and she left the show in 2006. So yeah, they are in their mid thirties most of the time.

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan I had no idea that their ages were higher than 30. The period costume and make up gives them such a youthful look. Thank you for correcting my ideology. However, the only actress I thought looked too old for the role was Elizabeth Southard, but I loved her voice.

  • @titanicfinatic Me too. But if you check their wikipedia pages, in some of the women, their age is included- and they're sometimes ten, fifteen years older than the west end ones. I think it's creepy. JHW definitely doesn't look her age when in costume!

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan: How old is Gina? I've always wondered...

  • @LerouxsPhantom 25-26, as far as I know!

  • I'm mostly not a fan of light lyrical sopranos as Christine (which the exception of Rachell Barell and one or two others) Gina is a great actress but not how I feel Christine should be. TOM is one of my favorite songs but WYWSHA I think shows her true strength and how she grew since the start of the show. My favorite Christine would have to be Jennifer Hope Wills. This was filmed great though.

  • @KelliLynn1000 Well, Gina can act, Jennifer stood there like a tree on stage when I saw her. But I really love Gina's voice, but hey- everybody has the right to have an opinion :-)

  • @PhanPhanPhanPhanPhan: Oh no, I didn't mean that Gina can't act. She can, greatly. I just think that Christine is a bit stronger then how she protrays her. I don't know when you saw JHW. I saw her eight times and each time I was her she got more into it. She actually made people cry during WYWSHA which is rare, she grows through the whole story. Never breaks out of character. I respect your opinion, of course. I wouldn't want to start a fight. Enough drama on youtube. I just like to enjoy POTO:D

  • @KelliLynn1000 I've seen Jennifer four times, Sara two, Marni one, and Gina thirteen- Gina was by far the best. Of course, no fight is needed- there's so many of them on youtube! But they cast the role differently on Broadway and on the West end, so it's really pointless to compare (Gina was 26 in this and Jennifer is 37/38, so...)
