As a defender for 11 years now, I can honestly admit some of those tackles were very well-timed. If anything, you should be pushed up into a center-defensive mid position. Also, the number 51 on the back of your jersey is trash. You deserve your choice of 2-5!

i play defence too, not pro, but with my mates. im 16. i dont slide tackle nearly as much as you do. the best part of your game is the fact you can control the ball and run up. defenders with these skills are usually the standout player. like thiago silva of ac milan (role model). i run up sometimes on the wing as well, over taking the wingback lol. and i try to do ignazio abate's (sprint down the wing forever then cut back to assist or shoot. i like your kinda style too :)

Best thing to do when playing soccer is:: focus on the game, anticipate your opponent , **ALWAYS know what you're going to do before you get the ball**like in chess always have at least two options in mind. This way you will always be faster and less mistakes, plus you won't feel any pleasure. =)

many cases. You need to ooze calmness on the ball, not make nippy runs. You should've either given a pass or even through balls one some occasions, and this is coming from viewing the game so briefly. Also, defensively, 2:50 - 2:58. That first tackle should have never happened, you drag the ball back and its your possession. Second clip, you should've controlled the ball and passed it back to the keeper. Never play the ball back into a danger zone when you have that much time. Good Luck

for one thing, if your going against a strong center forward who can shield the ball well, your into trouble. I play CB because i can play midfield, and i can predict what the attacker will do, you can do that too to some extent. But please. Dont go to ground, sliding tackles are a last resort. @Srpwn the main thing is to stay calm and concentrated. if you have a good team they will create good angles for you and call for the ball, this gives you time for a quick look up and place them the ball. also, if theres no option, theres nothing wrong with going back and either passin/switching to other defenders or passing it back to your keeper (preferably on his strong foot) hope this helped.

True hellmaster, those are physical traits that definitely help, however, not having those physical traits only makes playing soccer more fun and challenging, and you will fill more fullfilled everytime. A professional coach should be able to find your ideal spot...keep it up, stay healthy and mind strong. Give them HELL shorty....
