I was also once, and I found the same virtue and spirit flows through all faiths or the essence of the faiths anyway. I'd recommend Thich Nhat Hanh's bestseller, "Living Buddha, Living Christ."

well remember Jesus did say there would be those "not of his flock in heaven" and many saying Lord Lord and he wouldnt know them .. so best awares that heaven in now and it can be a buddhist.

Being from a Western mindset myself, I too feel the same Unityspirit. But having grown up in the East I understood from my Hindu and Buddhist friends, that touching the feet is not submission or lowering of yourself but an acknowledgement of the thing you are trying most to be like or emulate. Even the receiver of such honor understands this does not make them God. Its just our Christian upbringing that teaches us that feet and bowing are wrong

actually, the bible itself teaches that you should "serve" and "submit" yourself to jesus. it also shows bowing and feet washing as a kind devotional service, but jesus says that they should wash eachothers feet as well... its a lot of Radical people that think that bowing and "servitude" is wrong... even though service is one of the best ways of expressing love and devotion. all paths are part of the one existance.
