For those of you that are in the know, a MSIB MP04 usually goes for $450 - $500 at bids end off ebay, meaning I made a massive killing. I believe the masterpiece prime and the 20th anniversary are the same thing, the 20th anniversary is the American version, Masterpiece is Japan.....if my brain remembers. Cybertron Deluxe Prime was godly great. Almost up there with G1 Masterpiece Prime, almost.

There is a Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, but it's one of those bland white Optimus Prime repaints. If had made something like the Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus, then it would've been a lot better.

MP Megs is an impressive looking figure, but very unstable, looking forward to your review of him. I had the same problem until recently. What I did was push the lower part of the "button" on his leg and jiggle a little bit (gently though) and they slid into place.

I have MP Prime, the Takara version. Very nice figure. Another differane from the 2 versions are that the Takara prime has longer smoke stacks and a grey gun instead of blue one. I also have the MP Starscream which is great as well. Can't wait to get MP Megatron.

This is an awesome figure (though I got the Takara Convoy+Trailer... which is too expensive and not actually worth that much money). What I also bought recently was the Kaiyodo Revoltech Prime, which doesn't actually transform but it's a sweet action figure. With its articulation it makes any other Transformer (in robot form) look really dull.

There are two releases of the 20th anniversary Prime. I got the first release which was timed for the 20th anniversary of the Transformers line itself and the second run was for the 20th anniversary of the animated film which had some subtle changes to it, including battle damage.

No. The first 20th Anniversary Prime (the name Hasbro gave Masterpiece Prime) had battle damage. The recent reissue 20th Anniversary Prime does not.. it also lacks some chrome, has yellow cheeks and a blue gun and comes with an abysmal talking base.

"Masterpiece Prime" is the name of the Takara of Japan release(s): no battle damage, long stacks.
