steveparadise1 here says that “God the Son” is not in the Bible, really. Never once was the statement made in the video that the exact phrase, “God the Son” was in the text, but rather, as pointed out, the biblical teaching is, as in John 1:18 calling the Son, “monogenes theos” (“one and only God”): thus, God the Son.
In fact, seeing the clarity of the passage, some translations render John 1:18 as: “the unique One, who is himself God.” A lack of biblical study and a lack of understanding of what the Trinity actually teaches would cause steveparadise1 to ask: “Why is it then he could not quote one single scripture that teaches that God is a 3 person God.”
However, when asked the same of the unitarian: “Where is a single scripture that teaches that God is a 1 person God,” the unitarian is silent. For what he demands of others, he himself cannot provide. For no Scripture expresses God to be 1 sole Person. They confuse the biblical monotheism with unipersonalism.
The gentleman says of the trinity that it is "The most important doctrine of all christian theology, the very marrow of the bible"
Why is it then he could not quote one single scripture that teaches that God is a 3 person God.
The first verse he mentions is John17:3 where Jesus is praying to The Father and calls Him "the only true God" . How much knowledge do you need to that Jesus does not lie. If the Father is "the only true God" no amount of dancing through the bible is going to change that

What I find quite typical is that unitarians who deny the Trinity never define what that are denying.

This gets even better.
He goes on to say "We must define The Son of God and God the Son".
Nothing could be simpler the title "Son of God" is in the bible.
The phrase "God the Son" is not in the bible.
The "Son of God" is exactly that. As Paul wrote in Colossians He is the "firstborn of all creation". The only begotten son of God,.
Why is it in any other walk of life we understand these terms?
Why does the trinitarian want to change what is clear in scripture?
