Most of the time, whenever I come across a band half as kickass as this, I post a 500 character comment describing every detail of why I love them. I don't want to bother typing that for this band because I'd rather listen to the music with 100% of my attention. Yes, I'm a selfish fuck.
i know what you mean. Tool fans always boo the opening bands! saw them boo the melvins (WTF!!!) and tricky. I usually cant stand Tool people. ISIS FUCKING RULES!!!!!!!!!!!
@alejandro15187 Aaron Turner said something about Tools fans being meat heads. I love them, but I'm not and elitist dick. I also love Melvins, and certainly revere them more than I do tool.
i initially overlooked this song when i first got into this cd...ghost key stands as my favorite...but this song has a very addicting quality to it...from the drums at 218, the amazing guitars starting at 320 and building and notlettin off until after the 5 and a half minute part...this song was definately a grower for me
I'm currently listening to Wavering Radiant. I found a guy with a Wavering Radiant shirt in my Government class, oddly enough. That was when all I'd heard was Panopticon. I've now heard Oceanic (almost totally perfect), Truth (seemed like a rehash), and now this. And it might be the best of them all. They broke away from the rut and did something new.
Why I'm posting here, though....2:22 to 2:49 = Weight? I heard a distant vocal line that's almost like it.
wow, you made this song a day after I tripped to only this song while the full moon was out and saw beings made of light. Thats all I came to say, good video too. !,,!
i suppose it could be. he is quite amazing after all. can anyone get me confirmation though? *would love to see a video of them playing the solo live*
It's Aaron T. I asked my friend and he said it was he who played it at their show. I've seen them live 4 times, including this tour and they played this song, but I was pretty buzzed and if you've seen them, their shows they are like religious experiences...you're not really concentrating on what;s going on with the technical aspects of the music.
Wavering Radiant as a whole is just awesome. Every time I switch CD's in my car, I find myself wanting to listen to Isis again and put it right back in.
I am really not a fan of the screaming/growling vocals in any other band, but I actually don't mind 'em in Isis.
ahhh yess Panopticon is also my favorite. it's so hard to pick but that album was definitely my favorite. and yes their new album already sounds amazing. just a great band
it's selfish to think a band needs to reunite because you want them too

it was powerful and mind blowing.

freaking love isis and tool they're such amazing bands, they're so create in every way
Xavierrex3 2 years ago 2
i love this band so much!!! saw them when toured with TOOL but no one cared for 'em which is a shame.
OCEANIC is my favorite cd but on this album its "threshold of transformation".
drums and heavy guitars with hard to understand lyrics make it awesome!! more metal music with a bit of the poetry added.

Altered course and weight are like being stoned without any drugs, and without the nasty side effects.
It's cool beyond words, and if the authorities knew just how much, they'd make it illegal.

They certainly would
& woul do the same w songs like "so did we" & " dulcinea"
and many more
Actually they would have made Isis as a band illegal ;-)
