wow, love this tune is it one of your own?i used to be in2 surf music ages n ages ago still like it but dont collect as much these days,i like the way you use sound effects mid way thru ,i do that abit on my recordings, cool instro tristram505///
People please, I can't believe your saying the opposite of what I think. Like how did you access all the options in the world of surf and come to the conclusion that you want to be in SoCal? Go ahead, compare one foriegn spot to SoCal and tell me you'd rather be in SoCal still
it sounds pretty good. you could beef up the kick bigtime; and throw a couple more fills in here n there. whatever drum machine you use is fine. but you can play with velocity more. compress the master channel a lot to really fit things into place. use multiband compressors (like in logic) on guitars. all i can really comment. didnt realize you made this track. sounds good!
This is gonna be stupid but I have a question: I too am a guitarist, and I would like to know what scale you used for the leads or whatever... So, yeah, sorry to bother you.
Good question! I am self-taught, been playing by ear for nearly 40 years but I'm no expert on the theory. I think it's the Natural Minor scale in the key of E, also called the Aeolian Mode.
This tune is called "Surf Sup" by AireSound. There's more info on the top right sidebar. I'm a guitarist in England and I collaborate with other musicians from different countries via the internet. The melody of the lead guitar is a spontaneous improvisation recorded in one take.
Could you post the tabs please?

The Shadows goes California... Ha ha. ;-) sounds really good.

Good one. Shadows meet Baywatch and if the vocals come in it would probably have to be the Beach Boys..

You made this using Garageband. I recognize the bass and drums.
peanuts447 2 years ago
Like the song and the guitar tones but imho you should either use a different drum machine or at least bury the drums in the mix.
