Does anyone have a link to that interview? I remember there was a very nice beat Jay-Z was flowing to before the interview started, but I can't remember if it made it to any albums.
Flow is how your voice rides with the beat and also the type of vocab your using over the beat and how your voice projects whether it's high, low, or high's and lows which is delivery.
yoooooo i member when dis shit came out not 2 long after da black album.... i was in da whip wit my boy and we was listening 2 one of his cd's... dis nigga was like yo u ever heard dis.... i was like WTF
It makes "them" feel superior when they can say to "us" that they don't get something about our "stupid little" ways. You mean to tell me that a seasoned reported like this guy can't figure out what "flow" means? How is it used in a sentence, you can't derive the connotation? You are lame! And Jay-Z shouldn't even waste his time explaining that!
@LiquidNihilism he needs somethin to ask in the interview..like a topic..thats y he said it...like when sports reporters ask stupid questions to athletes..cuz the interview has to have a central topic doesnt it?..hes not bein stupid or nuthin people just look into too much if u think about it
@BxNYKbridge yea, im sure he needs to ask something. i still think its kinda funny. i mean yea, he has to come up with something thats true, but if he did his homework (as journalists do BEFORE interviews) and wasnt out of touch with culture by probably 30 years, maybe it wouldnt sound so ridiculously funny. that's all.
Jays flow is what sets him apart from the rest. Big was the only one who could fuck with his flow and he knew that...he studied bigs flow....but Jay has changed his flow. Listen to all his albums from Reasonable doubt to tha Blueprint era..it definitely changed
Why does jay-z continue to use that high pitch, pimpish, sing-songy style he picked up right after best of both worlds with that fool rkelly??!! Thats why nothing from him has been the same since Blueprint. Who likes that shit?!! Can we get back to the go hard with it Money, Cash, Hoes style please!!
Dude, i can say I've heard 95% of Jay's shit. But i don't get what u talking bout'. This cat ALWAYS had a high pitched voice, but made up for it in speed, wordplay and an unmatched delivery. But you should explain tho'.....
youngb734,you've got to be kidding me.These are your top five?Lol Either you have'nt heard the best or you don't know english. Rakim,Krs-one,hova,Nas,Big Pun!Holla at the real!!!!!!!
And even if I'm guilty you gotta pardon the flow!!

I bet It'll end up being a bonus track.

hahaha there are many rappers that can fuck wit his flow...its just they aint commercial
jethrodboy 3 years ago 2
I hated that song with Sean Paul.
Wish this version was on BP 2 i mean Blaze really made this remix much better than the original of BP2.
Songs like that made people misjudge Blueprint 2 but really BP 2 isnt much lesser than BP 1 if you just make 1 CD of it.

ghandi87 3 years ago
Jay def started using his voice at a higher pitch and started doing the whisper thing after Blueprint 1.
He started sounding more excited but his flow was def more laidback on his earlier work.
I like all of Jays flows though.
He can go many ways with that weird voice and that makes him the greatest for flow.
Inspectah Deck is also a great example for rappers that use they voice at a high pitch or even Big L.
Markbeats 3 years ago
you have flow mistaken with delivery
KronosDaTitan 3 years ago
Now delivery is like cadence, voice. We're talking about rhythmic patterns here with wordplay, That's flow! Jay-Z's got IT
Kingjames313 2 years ago 4
Thank u wordplay especially in Reasonable Doubt- The Blueprint and speed Nigga what nigga who dont pay any mind to these fools
