I don't get why people hate on this movie so much. I personally really enjoyed it. I rented it when it came out on DVD which was like in 2007 and after seeing this I can still probably enjoy the movie. :o I should rent it again and see how I still feel about it.

this movie was so horrible i literally screamed out in the middle of the showing "WHY am I watching this?" from my seat in the back row.

This movie is perhaps the most humiliating, degrading, audience-insulting piece-of-shit I've seen since "Battlefield Earth"...and even THAT deserved some credit since it was sci-fi, so I didn't end up being too disappointed...

As a Korean-American, I would like to deeply apologize to the world for this film.

I think that it is unfair to judge this film on the acting and the visual effects because frankly, they were good. It was the story that made it somewhat cheesy. The actors worked well within the script (except for the lead girl. I didn't like her). The reincarnated monk is a good actor, he even appears in Heroes! And the visual effects, while not perfect, were absolutely stunning.

Zolibeni - the movie is South Korean, not American. The director and writer, Shim Hyung-rae, opted for a mostly American cast as he did in Yonggary (the so-called remake, not the original film, obviously) to boost the international appeal of the film.

I think the ending was one of the only good parts in the whole movie. I LOVED the fight between the Buraki and Imoogi, and I think the Imoogi looked so beautiful after it turned into a dragon. I also love the ending song, Arirang. But the rest of the movie was just so... below average. The actors and actresses were not very talented, and some of the special effects were very bad. I'm sorry to the die-hard D-War fans, but if you really think about it, you'll realize I am at least partially right.
