that was really funny. I remember a joke he told I never forgot the punchline was hung like a horsey. But you'd have to have been at the Gershwin Hotel 8 years ago to hear it. Great stuff Brian.
I also just saw him for the first time on David Letterman (Thurs. 3/27/09) and I have not laughed that much and hard in a long time. I thought he was very, very funny and had a great delivery of jokes. The audience was also laughing so much because he WAS funny!! Anybody have more of him to post?
I didn't say LAUGHING necessarily. More like actual applause, almost as if they were encouraging a struggling youngster who was attempting to recite"Casey at the Bat" from memory. And he didn't wait for the applause to end, but begin.
Just saw Brian for the first time, (Letterman 3/27/09). Seems like a nice guy, but only moderately amusing, imo. The punchlines were predictable. I came to check him out on this forum, and the above performance was only slightly funnier than the one I had just witnessed on Letterman. And btw, what is up with audiences anymore. A round of applause after every (tepid) punchline?? Brian even seemed to wait for applause on a couple of occasions. Could be funnier and still clean, I believe.
Yes, he was supposed to go on with the nest limp joke. I didn't say he was waiting for the applause to END...more like waiting for it to start. Perhaps he kept doing it because of the undeserved positive feedback he received with his opening jokes. I think the crowd surprised him, ("you think that was FUNNY?"). Haven't seen the guy perform in almost a year, and haven't sought him out, either
for real this guy is my cousin sandy's husband. he is soooo nice in person and his kids are great too. we dont spend too much time together but he is truly a funny talented guy!!!!!!
I like "his kid talking back to his mother", really blows my mind. That's the kind of wit we all deserve daily :)

Disagree on the material. I think it is old school funny. And that blows away EVERYONE today. I see your point though.

Hilarous. His routine on Premium Blend is a little better, but still one of my favorite comedians
