Originally it was a music piece for the Pere Gynt suite by Edvard Grieg, a popular classical piece. It never had lyrics and doesn't need them but if it did these would be about as good as it gets but Ian Gillan would be better to sing this I think and more screaming and struting around like I'm the mountain king.

For those of you who wanna know about this song: The original piece is actually made by a norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. And the original norwegian title would be "I Dovregubbens Hall" Dovregubbe does not translate into King. But "dovregubbe" is kinda typical norwegian fairy tale style of wording so I don't know how to translate it.

In Norway this song often is used in fairy tales involving trolls.

In the original classical song the main notes are played on a cello.

Yep, that song is known by almost every norwegian person. You can't possible live through a childhood without hearing that song. Multiple times actually :) And it's been used in various norwegian commercials involving porridge. Porridge is a meal trolls often eat in our fairy tales.

@banished8910 Norwegian porridge is a special type of rice boiled in milk, until it is semi-solid. The rice expands and the milk thickens and it gets the consistency of rice pudding almost. Actually porridge is like warm rice pudding haha. And then we sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top and have a "eye" of butter in the middle. I promise you, it's delicious. Porridge is also well known in England. Not just Norway.

You can also make oat porridge, wich is more healthy. Normal for breakfast.
