  • it's not working with me, i'm trying giving it the path of the bootcamp that i have local on my machine not on the snow leopard cd and is not working

  • Hey dude your an awesome man. I ended up using a Mac osx cd that came with my laptop instead of my desktop computer. If anybody needs help with knowing what cd to use, message me!

    Thanks again.

    I love you

    :)

  • It also works great on Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium, thanks man!

  • i got a new pc... the i was going to install windows 7 but it stands that he cant find the driver... help???!!

  • it sais: access is denied...plz what do i have to do?

  • if you dont have the snow leopard dvd, u can do this same technique with the one u make with boot camp assistant just use that directory, or make that directory mimic the SL's boot camp folder

  • I need to make my windows 7 64 bit, it's 32/86 bit at the moment.

  • @ScriptBuilder1000 You need a 64bit copy which will require an additional purchase.

  • THank you. You are the first one you give me the full correct cmd line that actually woked.... could have saved myself a week if I'd found you first.....

    thanks again.....

  • @senorchips You're welcome. I'm glad you were able to get it working.

  • Still Working Find. Thanks!

  • Genius

  • figured it out

  • Anyone knw how to get the backslash key as I cant put in the command?

  • @killabape it's right under delete

  • Windows wont recognize the dvd drive on my macbook pro :( how do i get the drive to show up?

  • @eddy1154 You should make sure the drive is listed and not disabled in Device Manager -Right click "Computer" in the start menu and click on "Properties" then click "Device Manager" at the top left corner of the window that pops up -OR- by typing "Device Manager" in the search box of the start menu and hitting the Enter key. Also make sure you allow an appropriate amount of time for the drive to spin up the disc (this time can vary between machines) before opening the command prompt.

  • @4MacSake alright i tried that but it just wont show up :( had to install the drivers through usb cuz it just wont recognize the drive

  • Thank you very much, I've just done it by navigating to my USB key to install BC 4 !

  • @osx38750j You're Welcome! I'm glad my video helped you with your install.

  • I have actually only one BIG problem. Im on a iMac 2008 with 2600 pro. Everything works fine without boot camp drivers. But the device manager report the graphics card as a mobility 2600 xt (common problem I know). The thing is that with vista the solution was to install the ordinary ati display driver from amd's website, then "force" change the card under device manager by updating the drivers there. But it doesn't work under Windows 7. It says that the card/driver isnt supported. what to do?

  • @ChrisKadaver Hey Chris, again I haven't had any direct experience with your particular model Mac but you should definitely try loading up the latest Bootcamp software on your installation to see if it corrects the issue. Otherwise, you may have luck with running a driver detection software package like Drivermax or Slimdrivers. I used Slimdrivers with success tracking down a particularly tough driver for a Dell laptop that was blue screening due to a crappy Win2k driver. Good luck!

  • @ChrisKadaver /watch?v=OYQPZD5GrzI this will fix your problems

  • After i type the second line It say "access is denied" wut do i do?

  • @irvinator927 Make sure to retype the commands exactly as they are displayed in the video or annotations. Also, keep in mind that administrator level access and a working Snow Leopard install disc inserted in your optical drive are both required to successfully execute this command. If you don't have admin rights this won't work. Good luck!

  • Has anybody experience problems with the sound? Help!!!

  • @redduCudder Please make sure your mac model is not on Apple's supported Mac list, found in the description area of this video, this method only applies to older 32bit EFI Macs on which Apple does not officially support 64bit versions of Windows. All drivers, audio and otherwise should be on the Snow Leopard disc. Try updating the driver through Device Manager on the Windows side, 9 times out of ten that works. Good luck!

  • @4MacSake i have a Macbook Pro from mid-late 2009 i have bootcamp 3.0.2 version, Windows 7 Ultimate my drivers all updated. but yet the speakers won't work nor the headphones. I do have the Snow Leopard CD, do i re-install the CD? in Windows or the Mac Operating system?, as long as i don't put my MBP at risk

  • @redduCudder Don't have access to a machine like yours so I couldn't tell you anything definitive. You should download and install 3.1 and 3.2 bootcamp updates on the Windows side as they are the newest updates available to my knowledge. A link to the 3.1 update is in the description of my video, 3.2 is out there, just Google it. If you right click on the SL disc and select "Open" you will find the individual driver installers by navigating to "Boot Camp" folder and then "Drivers". Good luck.

  • thanks so much everything works perfectly now!!!

  • this is the third time I install windows 7 with x64 all works fine until the computer crashes or windows dont close correctly, then when I try to boot windows, the computer just dont boot nothing, and I cant even enter to the safe mode,it seems like macbooks cant enter into safe mode or something, I dont know how to solve this and there are no real way to fix it on the internet

  • MAN THANK YOU SO FUCKING MUCH!!!! IT FUCKIN WORK LIKE A FUCKIN LUCKY CHARM XD

  • @momscarface2 You're welcome. I'm glad it worked out for you.

  • hey i am getting windows 7 for my macbook because i need it for school and stuff. And I only have 80gb on my mac left. Is that enough to split it 40gb each way. SO is 40gb enough for windows or do I need a new internal hard drive? Please answer it's really confusing me. I also have a cross platform 500gb external hard drive with 444gb left. Can you download windows things onto it or do I need to do something else. Please answer.

  • @ResidenceofTom You can install Win 7 on a 40GB partition, but you may see decreased performance in Mac OS and Windows because you're not leaving much room for virtual memory which grows dynamically with usage on both operating systems.

  • (check your youtube's messages.) I have found the Graphic's card already with Speccy and downloaded the windows 7's driver from the official site..was that a mistake? After that i followed the instructions on this video and installed bootcamp along with the drivers and all...so how do i proceed from now on...i mean..do i normally use windows 7 update alone and that will update everything? Do i use bootcamp? Does bootcamp do that automatically neway? (talking about the drivers mainly)

  • @TNIISama Bootcamp should automatically check for updates on its own unless you have it blocked in some way. As for hardware drivers and the like, if their is a new version available the windows updater should bring them to your attention, just like on any other PC.

  • Nvm i got my audio drivers YAY but i deleted windows cause i got bored of it.

  • okay, im trying to do this right now, but it is saying access is denied, but i ran it as administrator, any ideas as to why this is showing up?

  • @kslacson2 try typing "cmd" in the search box of the start menu then press ctrl+shift+enter. That should invoke an administrator command prompt window. If you have User Access Control (UAC) it should trigger a prompt asking if you are sure. Keep in mind you require admin privileges to run programs as admin. If you are a standard restricted user and don't have login/password details for an admin account you can't do this.

  • @kslacson2

you need to change the admin security settings in user accounts to never ask permission. after that you will have to restart. then you can go into the command prompt and run boot camp.

Thank for the video @4MacSake - this really helped!

  • @4MacSake THAT YOU SOO MUCH

  • thanks a ton

  • @GameMastahKM You're welcome

  • @4MacSake after the /i can i type BootCamp32.msi for 32 bit

  • @Windows7UIRocks this method is only required to install on 64bit versions of Win7 as far as I know. On a 32bit version of Win7 the the BC drivers should install normally.

  • @4MacSake okay thanks

  • @Windows7UIRocks You're welcome

  • @4MacSake well im on 32 bit windows it has no audio drivers and i cant get any audio drivers!!!!

  • @RedCodeStudios There are, they are on your OSX install disc.

  • Thanks very much :D

  • @TraitorSpirit You're welcome.

  • help, i have nvidia drivers installed but it says that i have no hardware acceleration and on top of that i have no video ram PLEASE HELP

  • @theiphonefixx What are you running? What model do you have? Need details to be helpful.

  • @4MacSake running intel core 2 duo based unibody macbook pro 13 in nvidia gforce 9400m on windows 7 home premium 64bit

  • @theiphonefixx Your mac model is officially supported by Apple to run 64bit versions of Windows so you should be able to install Boot Camp drivers normally without using the method outlined in this video. Try reinstalling the drivers from the Snow Leopard disk, then download and install the 3.1 update (links in the description) and see if that helps. If not, try a reinstall.

  • Thanks for this, great help

  • @YourBoss612 You're welcome

  • I installed windows 7 on y mac and it does not have my 9400m graphics installed so should i do do what your doing in the video?

  • Only if you installed the 64bit version of Win7, and only if your Macbook model does not appear on the official BC 3.0 support page. The link is in the video description, under "Supported Model List"

  • So does this mean if I'm running 32-bit Win7 I can just type BootCamp32 instead of BootCamp64?

Also, does the version of boot camp included on the Snow Leopard disc support the Magic Mouse?

  • It's not necessary, 32bit Win7 is supported as long as you are running Snow Leopard with the BC 3.1 update, the installer should run without a problem. Magic Mouse support seems to be hit or miss right now.

  • You saved my life! I saved 4,700.00!

    I can't thank you enough!

  • You're welcome.

  • @4MacSake

This is Apple... Sir, you have to buy another mac pro... Your piece of shit / 12 thousand dollar computer with 24GB of RAM, fiber cannel, 8 core Intel Xeon 3GgHz, 8TB is old (2 years) and it is unsupported according to our list online... What a bunch of assholes...

  • Thanks for this.

  • You're welcome.

  • where can i get drivers 3.0 if i dont have my snow lep CD any more

  • It's best to install BC 3.0 from the SL disc.

  • good job
