I remember seeing this too at the theatre when I was younger. I went with my mum and she still remembers it fondly as something quite special. I can't remember it that well as I was really young but I do know I asked to go see it and that I loved it

It is not. Fact. It's the equivalent of making something up for a wikipedia article. never trust anything to be canon for a TV show unless it was intended by the original writers.

It's like with the new series of Doctor Who. In the old series, in just one episode in 1976, the Doctor said like all time Lords he has 13 lives. In the new series, he says he lives on in immortality.

It's just something made up as a one-ff, hence the Santa story is non-canon. Fact.

But that's not canon (canonicity). It's not actually featured in The Spooks of Bottle Bay programme, so it doesn't actually suggest that it was on Santas shelf.
