i did this so many times. i either hit his back and killed him, died, fell on his head, assasinate with no achievement, etc.

then my friend came along as a guest and got it on his 1st try. wtf

Fail no achievement shown. You need to disable sprint in order to think you are free falling then assasssinate the elite.

This was in theater mode and if I hadn't disabled the sprint I would have not been damaged, but when I successfully landed on the Elite I got damaged, performed the assassination, and got the achievement then.

Sorry, it is no tutorial it is just a really short montage of my time trying to get it.
