This game is why I root against Ohio State in everything. I bet the selection committee will find a way to put both St. John's & Ohio State in the same bracket in March. Most likely as a #5 seed (beating a #4 seed) vs. #1 seed, or a 6 seed (beating a #3) vs. #2 seed. It would be fun to watch!

This was basically the last St. John's team that mattered. The 2000 team was real good too....won the Big East and grabbed a #2 seed in the NCAA's but was upset in the 2nd round. Since then SJU hasnt done a thing.

I still believe if obinna ekezie hadn't hurt himself that Maryland would've beat St. John's in the Elite 8. We missed the big guy. That Red Storm D just collapsed on Steve Francis and I believe that game exposed Laron Profit (although he did get drafted and played a few years in the Pros). Mad props to both of these programs this particular year. Lots of talent.
