  • A thank you to you as you've taken the time to make a useful video.

  • So a wet brush won't keep it from drying quickly?

  • @sylentgurl89 Your brush should frequently be rinsed and wet unless smoothing with a dry brush for blending then that brush should IMMEDIATELY be washed or it will be ruined. Wet in wet is just one technique and is most useful for building up layers. As you get near completion, mostly use medium (glaze) and paint. A wet brush will not save you and too much water causes the paint to not lay down evenly. Acrylics are very, very difficult to use if you want to blend colours.

  • @sylentgurl89 Acrylics are best used in a "paint by number" style. They are extremely hard to blend or use for fine detail. Modern acrylics are much lower in pigment than earlier paint (from the 70's) and are quite transparent. The easiest way is to paint in an "impressionistic" style. I'm just trying to show an alternate technique with this video. Each artist will have to work out their own style. I recommend oils for beginners. Acrylics are the most difficult of all paint mediums.

  • Finally ~ a "how to" video packed with useful information. Thanks for posting this!
