I could not believe hearing about overdraft fees (well fine I would rather call it) we do not have em here (netherlands). I would think it would be NORMAL to pay interest on a negative saldo on your account. I pay 12% interest in case I am in the red. BUT not FINE fortunanally.
A prissy fresh 18 year old teenie spent mroe than she had and got hit with big bad overdraft fees. how bout you start keepign a check register and stop spending more than you have? Did you call them to get that advise? or call them to say it wasn't your fault and somehow you didn't spent more than you had? 10 internet points for making yourself look like an immature whiner on the web. Grow up and figure out account management. I'll give you a hint. it involves not going to the mall when broke.
Okay, normally, I would ignore this type of comment. But this I simply couldn't resist.
First and foremost, I'd appreciate it if you didn't judge me without actually knowing me. I'm not a "prissy teenie". I'm actually the opposite of "prim and proper." Use a dictionary when you try to insult me. Mommy and Daddy don't just hand me everything, I work two jobs while not in school, and one during school.
Second, I clearly stated in the video that I was trying to get through to actually talk to someone, and the reason I was angry at bank of america was because they could not get me through to an agent and the preprogrammed messages were not answering my question. Also stated in the video, I knew that the overdraft was in fact my fault. In addition, I wasn't hit with an overdraft fee (also mentioned in the video) because I have overdraft protection.
And finally, I didn't go to the mall broke. College students do in fact need supplies - especially art students. Not all 18 year old college students are irresponsible and "immature", including myself.
One could use a check register to keep track of your transactions and then you would know exactly how much you have in your account at all times.
