I always used to think that this song was about those soldiers missing in action for 20 or so years, presumed dead, who came back only to find their wives remarried and their children grown.
My dad's never gonna have to worry about feeling replaced since he's never really left. In one way its great, but it also makes moving on tough for my mom when she's constantly reminded of what she's losing. My dad's never gonna have to worry about feeling replaced since he's never really left. In one way its great, but it also makes moving on tough for my mom when she's constantly reminded of what she's losing. Sometimes i wish he hadn't have been such a coward and left and other times i'm glad because the stress and tension was too much, but now things have only gotten worse.
