I never thought that the whole series will have this ending when i started watching Scrubs from the beginning on in 2001. To me,Scrubs was some kind of fellow through my times when I started my apprenticeship as a nurse and i felt like J.D in the first seasion. That's why I could see every episode a million times and more. This is a great ending and maybe there is a 9th seasion,but that's a different Scrubs.My Scrubs ends with this one.

it was originally intended to be a spinoff, that is why there was a new cast. but a lot of the other actors wanted to stay in it, so cox, turk, todd, ted, and kelso are staying on in what is for the most part the same amount of screen time as they had before. that made them ditch the spinoff idea and just make a 9th season of the "same" show.
