  • Damn $150 for Street Fighter 2? I'd love to own one for that price

  • strippers convention....lmao that was a good one ;)

  • Jon ur a legend! Ace vid as always.

  • That sure was a HUGE auction. Some of those machine seemed really cheap for what you seem to be getting. $150 for a Street Fighter 2 machine seems very reasonable to me. I'd definitely get one at that price if there was a place like that near me.

  • 31:56 It might have been a DK III cabinet, but it looks like original DK game.

  • original after burner arcade cabinet for $250. WOW what a reasonable price! see 11:34. then you also have street fighter 2 for $150. i have never seen one for sale that cheap, either private or commercial. what a bargain! see 9:42 - i also saw an original 1987 double dragon cabinet there!

  • I would definitely have bought a Virtua Cop 2 machine... but I live in France :'(

  • first time viewing your videos

I really want to know which video camera you use...

    I THOUGHT THE QUALITY EXCELLANT

  • @conservativehater1 For the Auction video I used an iPhone4, however this weekend I bought the new iPhone 4S which has a way better 1080p camera.

  • Awesome new video, rare and public euthymic auction day, keep it up dawg!

  • @CommandoKrueger Thank you commando!

  • Thousands of people? More like 952 eheh. Nice auction and nice video.

  • @LittleBoxXx Ooooo that hurt.

  • The "WTH is that" machine at 12:20 is a prize drop game. I don't remember fully but i think you have to line up the blue squares. I see them a lot in shopping centres (in the UK). I think that one's by SEGA, they usually have SEGA branded items like MP3/Video players and MP3 player sunglasses (no joke!). They don't give out prizes freely. I spent probably too much once trying to win an Atari Flashback.

  • @jewellds It's called "Stacka".

  • AHHH! Next time you go to this you need to give me a heads up!

  • @vintagevideogamegeek You got it!!!! You can be my Wingman.

  • Comment removed

  • @MAMECADE Bull$%@#, you can be mine! LOL

  • THe prices of some of this machines were a bargain! Cant believe the GnG one, and Outrun! I could make my own arcade with 3000$ if i were there...

  • @danytoon That is true, you could get a good number of machines for $3k.

  • Wow i didn't know some of those were so cheap. I always love these auction vids of yours.

  • @Decepticreepz Thanks.... they are always fun to attend.

  • 37:16 ghdkdykdyjd 20! arysr 10! fdtfdurtfus 20!

  • I had no idea that those arcade cabinets would still be worth so much.

What about faulty processors (especially the older/lesser common ones, like the MC68000 and Z80), for example, are spare parts still produced? Do some of these cabinets come with service contracts, or so? Are firmware updates provided? What about the newer machines, can they be linked (i.e. in a LAN) for accounting, score keeping and such?

A game that'd interest me is Die Hard Arcade. Have you seen it (lately)?

  • @eMGeeGFX These games are as is and come with no warranty. That is the price you pay for a 20 year+ arcade machine. Many of the buyers are enthusiasts and know a little something about the Z80 and of course there are dedicated sites on the internet to help with repairs. These machines were never meant to be hooked up via LAN, though that would be interesting. I have not see a Die Hard is a long time.

  • Where would you find out about auctions close to where you live?

  • @theelfkilla I mostly google for arcade auctions and get on mailing lists.

  • @MAMECADE Cool thanks, I like to get my hand on a Neo Geo 4 game select cab.

  • still makes me laugh the way the auction speakers says the words really fun to watch..... really good games didnt like the amount of multicades.

    Did you bought anything ?

  • @zerowinter The auctioneers were obviously from the mid west of the US. No I didn't buy anything.

  • No i am afraid mate, the stupid goverment since the end of 90`s banned ALL arcade machines as they declared they where harmefull for children ,typical sorry for the french BS!so no more arcades here i am afraid, damn country i live :( it just royally sucks!

  • great vid man really got the feel of going to an auction.

  • @GottGameShows Its a long ass video but I think lots of viewers appreciate that whole auction experience.

  • IThanks for putting this up, just subbed to your channel! wish we would have this here in Europe!

  • @SoulSnatching Well thank you for the sub!

  • Oh man, I would love to have that Bubbles machine at home. I don't know if it normally goes for that much, but if I was there and had $500 in my pocket, it would have been an instant impulse buy.

  • @HiroGaems You do get the compulsion to just grab something when you walk around these auctions.

  • I'd buy that Aero Fighters cab for $195! Very interesting video Mr Mamecade.

  • @narox At that price that would have been a steal! You're welcome Narox.

  • You dont know how deep is my envy to you guys... Here in Spain we dont dare even to DREAM with one event like this one... in the entire country... how sad...

  • @danytoon That is a pity. I guess we here in the States take these events for granted.

  • great commentary

  • @specialformula14 It's not easy to talk for 40 minutes!

  • this was a amazing vid man.. thanks so much..

  • @specialformula14 You're very welcome, I'm happy you enjoyed it!

  • Great Video

  • @diowfj Thank you!

  • Fantastic video John am glad you made this one up for all of us to watch so we can see what these are all about and now i want to go to one lol.

  • @jboypacman John, as you can see, arcade auctions are a LOT of fun!!! You should definitely try to check one out someday.

  • Holy crap! Now I know I can never afford a Medieval Madness. Hopefully TNG isn't as expensive.

  • @gentleuterus there are those 10 pins that go for crazy amounts of money!

  • 30:45 My Skate Sation has one

  • @blackblob500 Awesome.

  • @MAMECADE It was the spider stomper one

  • I'm 20 minutes into this video so far, and some of the arcades seem priced sky high. I have a better condition Ms. Pac-Man that the first one you showed that I paid $400 for last year. Overall though, they seem fairly priced. It's interesting to see what an auction looks like, as I've gotten my 7 arcades through craigslist.

  • @sandmanxo No doubt the multicades were over priced but most of the dedicated machines was fair. I'd glad you enjoyed the auction footage.

  • 12:22 I would buy that one if i were there

  • @blackblob500 good choice.

  • I would have snagged that Street Fighter 2 and the mario bros at buy it now.

  • @xxkomebackkidxx You would have gotten a good deal on both of those machines.

  • That was awesome, thanks for sharing this with us, I would really have spent some money if I had the chance to go to something like that, a perfect day out.

  • @ArcadeMameMachine You're welcome. The weather was great, the selection was huge, you're right, it was a perfect day out.

  • nice video, we dont have that here :(

  • @LumberjackZE Thank you. Do you live outside the US?

  • @MAMECADE

    yes, i live in potugal.

some years ago every coffe had 1 or 2 arcades but now they are almost extinct, only a few machines in big shopping malls and they are all in REALY bad shape...

Also we dont have auctions, yard sales, flea markets, salvation army and any other place were you (americans) buy cheap ass games... the only thing is if we have luky, maybe we find some cool games at pawn shops but that is rare too and the video games shops know theyr price.

ps. sorry for my english :)

  • Great Video, Lot's of info, and memories. Peace.

  • @TheMystercee Thank you, happy to have sparked some nice memories for you.

  • That Street Fighter looks tempting at $150 but I bet it has a lot of miles on it. Oooo a Robocop, I want that. Mortal Kombat 2 is definitely a game I'd make room for. Adams Family a great pinball game but $7500 yowza. Family Guy not the greatest pinball but I think its a lot of fun. Ultracades plenty of my favourites in those. Black Tiger & Rastan, nice. I'd probably take advantage of the "Buy It Now" option more often than not. Fun virtual tour Mr. Pio. :D

  • @TheBladeJunker I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I'm with you on the Black Tiger and Rastan games!

  • @BlazonWrath If you can get your hands on a pinball machine I would recommend you get one. Lots of fun.

  • Loved the video !! Awesome auction and great prices !!! and I thought arcade games were expensive and only rich people could have them LOL !!! I'm happy now,I can afford one if I want to buy one. :P

  • @TheGamerfreak5150 If you look on ebay you'll pay top dollar, Craigslist is slightly better. Auctions are the best bang for your buck!

  • @imjustsaying85 Arcade machines make a man do crazy things sometimes.

  • Have you been to the protests?

  • @eightbitclick No I haven't been to the protests.

  • Where do you find the auctions?

  • @VinceLatello Most of these auctions take place in the east coast of the US. New Jersey, Maryland and Tennessee being very popular.

  • @MAMECADE At 12:22 that game is called "Stacker" it is really fun and every time I see one I always try it out. It also could have some really cool prizes such as 3DS or DSi or PSP or iPod or iPhone ect.

  • @ComedyRoom10 There were a lot of redemption machines that I'd never seen before.

  • Ahh, another freaking awesome arcade auction video! And quite a lengthy one too! Gonna grab some food and sit down to watch this one, I love these kinda things.

  • @phreakindee Hope you enjoyed watching it. It was interesting to see the Buy it now prices vs. the auction prices (43:00) on these machines. Helluva drive though....

  • At 3:24, that's the music they used for Big Shot on Cowboy Bebop! Are you an anime fan, Mr. Pio?

Holy bajeezits, that's the most arcade machines I've ever seen in one place. I love the fact you can play them before you bid. Such a cool idea.

Maybe one day I'll get to go to an auction like this. It won't happen in the UK, I know that much.

  • @Broshmosh I love Cowboy Bebop... Huge fan of Gatchaman!!!!

  • It's not an auction until the addams family pinball machine gets busted out!

  • @EssJay00 Here here! Addams Family to the max

  • nice to see you back

  • @ixelu I've been doing some major home renovation and my time have been gobbled up but thanks for sticking around.

  • jeez everyone trying to get rich on multicades when they don't cost much to put together!

Thanks for sharing man, Ive always wanted to go to one of these.

  • @jumblejunkie Hey Jumbles. Yeah Multicade madness out there, they're getting more and more popular. You of all people should take a trek and find one of these auctions. You'd get a kick out of it.

  • i would buy street fighter cabinet and transport it to europe, i wonder how much it would cost me.

  • @MrMarjan8040 Gee, I would imagine the transport would be very expensive.

  • Mamcade should have more visitors!!!

  • @danytoon Yes, I do need more visitors, I couldn't agree more!

  • @danytoon, maybe not. John Pio is one of the most friendly, modest and entertaining personalities on YouTube. Tons of subscribers and viewers, although he really deserves it (and I'd wish him the best of luck if he wants that), doesn't always positively affect/influence someone. I've seen lots of channels turn bad (with me unsubscribing eventually), because the arrogance and decadence. John Pio is, together with Lazy Game Reviews, one of the rare few who actually responds to his audience.

  • @eMGeeGFX Im saying this from the position of an "obscure-show-hoster" (mine is "Destroy the Humanoid") :D Some more audience give morale and willpower to continue on with the good stuff :D

  • jesus !arcade machine auctions!I am envious really!!too bad we are so prehistoric here that we dont have such events, tis a shame cause they are affordable i would get me a choplifter or a pacman or another game!nice vid mate !Greetings from Greece and hope all is well with you :) !!!

  • @kakabixlis Thank you, yes all is well here. Enjoying life and all. Are there any places left in Greece where a man can play some classic games?

  • Wow some very nice condition units there, they did look very well maintained. I like the format of the sale. Would love to be able to pickup a cabinet.

I probably would pay $500 for a Donkey Kong in that condition :) So yes I would just buy the one I wanted if the price was reasonable, otherwise very nice place to wait for your item to come up in the auction and looks like most people got a bargain on the buy it now price.

NB: It was pretty cool seeing that original Asteroids.

  • @electricadventures I have to say, this was one of the best auctions I've been to and was very professionally done.

  • Thanks for showing this dude - if only we had Arcade Auctions here in the UK - there was def a few machines i would of parted some cash with if i was there : )

  • @ukretrogameaddict Really? Which games would you have bought or bid on?

  • @MAMECADE Robocop for sure - i'd kill for a simpsons arcade machine but i just don't have the room - cruz'in usa was always a fav as a teenager - street fighter for $150 i'd be so on that one - and an original pacman would be fantastic : )

  • @ukretrogameaddict There was something for everyone there.

  • Can you do a vidio there you showe os your arcade end pinboll machine

I really like ypur vidios bay the way :)

  • @patrikw25 Thanks.... I plan on doing a gameroom video soon... Gamester81 paid me a visit recently a shot some footage for his channel so stay tuned for his upcoming video.

  • @MAMECADE I will :)

  • is 150 bucks average for a street fighter 2 cab

  • @cyclo1224 it all depends on it's condition etc. I think $150 was a great price for SFII

  • can you please tell us what did u end up buying?? i hope you didnt drive 4 hours to not buy anything

  • @corvorig Yep, I drove out just to see and play... I didn't want to buy anything new, my game room actually needs to be reduced.

  • I don't think we have anything like this in the UK, I would totally go to one if there was even though I don't have space for an arcade machine.

  • @shaurz I've heard that the UK doesn't do this, its a shame. Well the US doesn'thave Boot Sales so touche.
