  • So in other words, Jesus is coming soon, like in another 3000 years right?

  • @Moonbogg The Bible speaks of commnets like that- it says in the last days scoffers will come saying where is his coming- its been prophesised but He never comes- then he will come as a thief in the night- dont be left behind

  • Rev.2

[11] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

    Rev.20

[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they

shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

[14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

  • This man is making a prophetic statement in saying that 'antichrist will enter a 3rd rebuilt temple in Jerusalem'. There is no such teaching in the Scriptures. Rather, Paul tells us that the antichrist will sit within the congregation of 'believers', and John totally backs him up on this. Paul would never consider a 3rd rebuilt temple to have anything whatsoever to do with God's true people. He was writing in a time when the temple was still standing and he calls believers 'the temple'.

  • The Bible is clear Hell is a place of everlasting punishment whether you believe someone is actually physically in torment or not is not the issue but for someone to say it is not eternal punishment and a place to be scared of or to say one soul sleeps and just dies is heretical.

  • The wages of sin is death. The wicked suffer and are consumed. This is the second death. Read Romans.

  • The soul 'sleeps' until it is resurrected. All will be resurrected at one time or another, some to eternal life and some to destruction. Notice, the Scriptures say 'punishment', not 'punishing'. There is a difference and this 'continual burning' doctrine is what happens when 'tota Scriptura' is abandoned. We must appeal to 'all' of what the Scriptures say on any given topic. It is a 'tradition of man' to think the soul is unconditionally immortal. The Scriptures know nothing of this concept.

  • The Bible does NOT say the punishment is eternal. The wages of sin is death. You need to look uop the word "aion" and see that it's meaning has been changed by modern men. The ancient Greeks always used this word to mean "an age", not "eternity".

    Rom.6

[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9:43-48). Also see Isaiah 66:22-24.

  • The greek word 'gehenna' is the only word translated as 'hell' that has anything to do with burning. It is a symbolic term and refers to 'the valley of Hinnom', a burning garbage dump SW of Jerusalem. Is 'gehenna' burning today? No. Peter used the example of Sodom and Gomorrah to explain what would eventually happen to the wicked. Are they still burning today? No. 'Not quenched' means that no one is able to put the fire out, it must simply burn until it has consumed everything.

  • It does not die so long as it is in the lake of fire. The wages of sin is death, not life. God is a consuming fire. The wicked perish. To persih is to die. The references in scripture that tell us the suffering of the wicked is not eternal are NUMEROUS.

  • "And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

  • Jesus told of the account of Lazarus and the rich man. We know that this is not a parable because the actual names of Lazarus, Abraham, and Moses are given. The rich man was not in the Lake of Fire yet, but rather, he was, and still is, in Hades.

  • ...The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name" (Revelation 14:9-11).

  • The wages of sin is death. The wicked suffer and are consumed. This is the second death. Read Romans.

  • 2 Peter 2:9 'The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, & to reserve the unjust unto the day on judgment.'

When the unjust die, their soul goes to hell. After the 1000 yr reign, the nasties r let go 4 a short time. 1 last attempt at corrupting man. After that, the souls in hell get their resurrected bodies & all evil is cast in2 the eternal lake of fire, where the worms don't die. Hell is the 1st stop. Everyone gets their glorified/undiying body back & some up or some down!!

  • Mid Trib? nahh

    not for me...

Post trib pre wrath is more scriptural in my opinion.

  • He got one thing wrong. Hell is not eternal. Scripture states that the condemned will be consumed and will be no more.

  • I agree with you Neph. Unfortunately there isn't many of us Christians that sees this.

  • If you agree with something that is not found in scripture in absolute form then you are adding. Revelation 22:18

  • It does not say no more it says it is a place where their worm dies not and the fire is never quenched. What you are thinking of is when death and hell are cast into the Lake of Fire but that is not definitive on it being burnt up or no more so you should not add to scripture I warn you against it so that you will not be found a false teacher.

  • Pss.104

[35] Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul.

  • Be careful when calling someone a flase preacher. Exactly what you said the Bible does not say, it says.

  • If you add to the Bible or take away from it which is what you are doing then you are a false teacher.

  • The wages of sin is death, not life eternal in hell. You have been provided a mountain of scripture that proves it. If you chose to believe the Bible states hell is eternal, then you believe in a different God and Word. People who spout hell is eternal suffering lead people to hell.

  • You made the dogmatic statement that Hell is not everlasting fire. Did you not? You are saying rather that a person will cease to exist. That is not found in scripture you are adding to the Word of God. I am warning you that if you do that you will be found a false teacher.

  • Yes. The affirmation of the Scriptures that teach the utter destruction of the wicked is a 'doctrinal statement'. "For yet a little while and the wicked shall not be..they shall perish...they shall consume away."(Ps.37:10,20) "the day that comes shall burn them up..the wicked...shall be as ashes under the soles of your feet" (Mal.4:1,3) These are all references to the final destruction of the wicked. Traditions of man vs. Holy, God-breathed, Scripture.

  • AMEN AMEN! The wicked shall be no more! Scripture is clear: the wicked suffer to pay for their sins and are consumed.

    Isa.1

[28] And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall

    be consumed.
