Great video, the T3i rocked. I have a Canon HV30 and wanted your opinion. What's you're experience with the T3i for videos? I would use it for video and photos probably 50/50. I think just answered my own question. The easy of Eye-fi has spoiled me versus HDV. I'd like to hear your thoughts... Thanks

The T3i is sharper, but has a less filmy feel. The HV40 is less sharp, but looks like film and is actually shot on tape.

I own a HV40 and a D3100.

hey it's pretty close. but for real, what do the professional film companies do to get the picture so amazing? movies like no country for old men for example. is it the camera or the editing?

@dannyledwith21 its mostly all about the camera they use 50 thousand dollar cameras and up and also a lot still use 35mm motion picture film camera. Editing doesn't change how the picture looks. Color correction does but its all about the camera, lighting, camera movements. Search for RED one footage to see a beast camera at work.

@dannyledwith21 its the lighting mostly and framing. If you're a good DP like roger deakins you can make anything look good no matter what camera you use.
