Buy the D5000 and spend the extra money on a Nikon 50mm F/1.8, Nikon 24mm F/2.0, 85mm F/1.8 or an 80-200mm F/2.8...

I shoot indoors, portrait, landscape, HD video.....

Is the D5000 good enough? what else can I gain if I choose the d90 over the D5000?

There is almost no difference between the 2. The D5000 has a slightly smaller screen and shoots a half a frame fps slower.. As far as image goes.. They are almost identical.

DOnt know what to get. D5000 or D90. only thing that i confuse to what to get is the the lcd lense screen. i know the d90 comes with a protective screen. how about the d5000 ive seen it doesnt. is there a some kind like the d90 screen screen protector that you can use.

And also does the d5000 seem smaller than d90 and what is good. ive read reviews and still not convinced.
