PEOPLE, I NEED SOME HELP (and maybe it will be useful to others, too):
I really love these songs like the seas and so on in the Yellow Submarine album, but I don't know how this genre is called or even if there is a genre for it. I've been looking for some info but i cant seem to find anything. In short: WHRE CAN WE FIND MORE OF THIS KIND OF MUSIC!?
@chistorro12 it seems like you're looking for simphonic orchestral music, you can try with Joe Hisaishi, composer of Miyazaki's movies, and Trevor Jones; they're my favorite composers. I suggest 'Spirited Away OST ' from Hisaishi and 'Dinotopia OST' from Jones.
There are plenty of great composers who make great music for movies and tv!
George Martin's all-around genius, from composing to arranging to producing, is right up there with Liszt, Schubert, Gershwin, Ellington, Dylan, the Beatles themselves, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Springsteen, Eminem...there are guys who just feel the music and understand everything about it...Martin may be the best of them all.
Recently been listening to the Beatles' catalog again since acquiring the boxed CD set, and came across this piece which I haven't listen to in over 30 years. I remember loving it then and am loving it again now. G.M. was indeed the "5th Beatle". His influence can be heard thru the entire collection. It was the "perfect storm" of music. I'm glad it happened in my lifetime. My adult children all enjoy and appreciate the Beatles. Thank you, G.M., for your dedication and fine ear.
This album was in Singapore Air's music in the entertainment back-of-the-seat thing and I fell asleep listening to it (not out of boredom I assure you!) and all I can remember of the sleep was dreams tinted with cheerful orchestral pieces looping over and over. It was a shallow, but good sleep.

Does anybody hear Bach influence in this?
Specifically, "Air on the G String" coming to mind.

This has been flagged as spam show
Star Fox, Final Fantasy, Zelda and a shitload of games soundtracks were obviously inspired by Pepperland.

After listening to this and 'sea of time', I wonder if these songs actually inspired Nobuo Uematsu to he write some of his finest works for FF?

God, I can't find the piano sheet music for this anywhere! It's such a fantastic song, and I know it would sound fantastic on piano.

When this movie is remade... they have to use this score, or at least an expansion of it!

@ubiratansousa I agree! It sounds like a lullaby or a song played in a fantasy land!

I was just thinking why don't the brit awards give George Martin an outstanding contribution to music award before it's too late?
