I personally don't like mario much. Thats my opinion though. Obviously other people do like him. He is the number 1 franchise after all. And even if a lot of them are bad you have gotta give Sega credit for trying something new. Every sonic game always tried something new. They test to see what settles well with sonic fans. They learned from riders that fans slightly liked racing. So they made 1 more and left it at that. They learned from heroes that people like oldschool sonic (making rush) and hated babyish story (making shadow) 06 taught them that beastiality is a bad thing. Now we got sword gameplay. And the cycle continues.

Sonic Unleashed is good, but the whole werehog thing fucking suck ass, I thought the point of unleashed was to bring sonic back even faster than before, WHICH THEY DID, but they fucked up twice: once with the werehog, and twice with the number of stages you actually go through during the day. they go by so fucking fast and then it takes fucking forever to get through the night stages.

The only one which was good was sonic adventure for sega dreamcast which was awesome. To me only the Sonic Advance series, Rush series, and I forget what else where the only 2D games I found more entertaining than the old 2D ones... the old 2D games have you running and jumping ((flying and gliding and climbing in other cases)) while the Advance, Rush and etc. series has more to use.

The only old classic 2D Sonic game I liked was Sonic CD... again because you had something else to do than only going towards the right towards the goal.

The 3D games lets you do more stuff.
