  • 3:18 I am a mouse. No one has given me a name yet.

  • I never could beat this, the part when you get the boat motor, then gas, then the key. I never could get the key. Hard game to beat.

  • i have it complete i heard its worth $50

  • Is this easy to find? I love the Dizzy games on the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64.

  • my mom showed me that when i was a little kid and i still play it but i lost my cartridge so i have to play on emulator :(

  • i've been trying to remember the name of this game for years!

  • Shut up.

  • The thing about the Nintendo licences were that they were expensive. Codemasters have always been against that sort of thing

  • So the Wizzard splooges on Dizzy to give him more life?

  • tin the city near pirate when u touch buttefly and get inverse movement jump on the pirate when he kills you i star in different world xP

  • Great game, the more elusive holy grail version is the Aladdin cart version. Good vid, keep it up.

  • @Intellivision78, Too bad the same could'nt be said for Commadore's Casltevania. :D

  • dude u cant breathe water!!

  • had this game never passed the log jump.

  • Technically masterpiece. Also, verry absorbing!

  • A huge part of my childhood. :)

  • My childhood obsession. I've ended it after like 2 years mastering every part. Zaks Castle is bugged. Game can freeze if you die while hanging on rope.

  • aquela falassada sdo começo me encheu....mas é muito bom esse jogo^_^

  • I remember this game on the Amstrad I think it was...

  • This game took alot of my childhood, never did beat it, because of you I'm actually going to go find my NES in storage and play this game again. This game I remember was time consuming. And it really wasn't friendly towards mistakes if you messed up you were screwed haha!

  • I never could beat it either. I probably couldn't beat it now. It was hard!

  • @Wilhelm820 i beat it with game genie

  • esse cara tem que aprende a calar a boca

  • lol yeah i can't beat that freaking game even with Game Genie help

  • uhhh i would have to say hands down thee most impossible game to beat on NES. Even with inifinite lives and game genie its like impossible. SO FUN

  • I see you have read up on this one , Fantastic game series .

  • Unlicensed games , that could never happen these days XD

  • The music in this game almost makes the Nes to sound like a Commodore 64.. =)

  • found the fantastic dizzy on genesis at my local store 10 bucks in box with book but it looked like euro game but worked fine on the m2 in the shop I left it there but its interesting

  • Cool! Gotta love unlicensed games.

  • The graphics for this game look really good for an NES game.

  • 5 stars and added as favorites im gonna have to pick this game up it looks like alot of fun.

  • yea this games graphics are right up there with the best on nes, mari 3, street gangs (or as u guys know it river city ransom) and kirbys adventure.

  • OHH man I used to own this game back in the 90's!!! totally forgot about it untill now. When I was little I hated it because I could never beat the first level. but definatly a great game

  • this game looks really really cool! jake as always awesome video. this game looks like a super nintendo game.

  • Got this on the megadrive. Great game.

  • I want this game

  • looks really good. GREAT VID

  • The music is driving me mad! I prefer the more relaxed and less abrasive Mega Drive/Genesis version's music. =P

  • lol, youve missed out the fact dizzy WAS HUGE IN THE UK, on the good ol fashiond spectrum, rubber keys FTW!!!

only brits know what im talking about, shame, you yanks missed out on an AWESOME system,

  • Wow! Best looking NES game I have ever seen. I guess its a safe bet we won't see it on VC....

  • I'd say Kirby's Adventure and Super Mario 3 are on par with it. But it's definitely good looking for an 8-bit title. Too bad it's unlicensed. It's unlikely it will ever show up on Virtual Console because of that.

  • I had a gold cart once. It was Big Nose I think. loved that game till it stopped working when i was a kid .

  • Its a Codemasters game and after all the trouble with the Game Genie device they never bothered going for licensed games.

  • @Lorfarius I think i actually had this game for my Amiga :O

  • @Lorfarius Ironically I play this game WITH game genie. ;)

  • I have the Master System version - haven't played it yet. Looks quite cool.

  • The music is like a wild acid trip.

  • This game was many times better on the megadrive than nes :P, kindof a waste to buy it on the nes other than for collecting.

  • it was licensed here the uk but on c64. there is a shit load of them great games.

  • i'm another who has fond memories of the spectrum versions of the dizzy series.

the music on this version is awesome!

  • man this has good music and i didn't expect that kind of bass from nes.

  • This brings back memories, I got the Master System version back when I was like 3 years old lol Still got it around here somewhere....

  • can you take that apart to show the inside? does the rom just plug into the switch thing? can you put other ones in there and use that to play them?

  • Wicked! :-)

We have to go out and find a Dizzy game. Always heard of them but never played one.

    GWG

  • it looks like the levels i Yoshi's story

  • This actually looks like a great game to play. And thats the thing a lot of Unlicensed games usually have really good graphics and they are quite fun to play. I might have to keep an eye out for this one :) Thanks Jake, for mentioning about this game!

    Clinton

  • I remember the Dizzy games from my Spectrum days, they were great! :-)

  • Have you ever played of any of the original Spectrum Dizzy games Jake?

  • I have a micro machines game like that with the switch.

  • Good old Spectrum ... Dizzy was one of the first series I ever played as a child on my Speccy. :)

  • Great review! I like the gold carts.

  • I absolutely adore this game! I had a bunch of Dizzy games on my Commodore 64 and I remember thinking that it really stood out from most other games of its type.

Codemasters were kings back in the 8-bit era. Most of my fondest C64 memories are connected with Codies and Ocean.

I will have to make sure to find a copy of this game if I ever buy a NES!

  • I'm assuming that it wasn't licensed because codemasters and nintendo didn't really have the best relation ship, but I could be wrong.

  • Great looking game matey - I've just managed to get hold of a NES for my collection so will have to see if I can get hold of this game... :)

  • yeah, this and other things...

  • Back in the day, Nintendo Licenced games with a fee of 50% of the selling value, the producer of the game only got about 40% because they had to pay for the manufactory of the cartdges to Nintendo tas well. Lets say a lot of companies didnt liked that...

  • idk where u got ur numbers but my feeling is due to them already getting sued for the game genie they prob didnt want to sell the game to nintendo and maybe nintendo didnt want it from them.

  • i read in the Book "Game Over". They made the rules they wanted, Nintendo had the role videogame market at their hands, Thus Nintendo was being sued at that time per some companies aleging monopoly.

  • oh that so cool i wanna go get a copy of that lol thanks for the info

  • nintendo was also sued for price fixing

they even manipulated stores that if they allowed SEGA harware into their stores,Nintendo would not supply them anymore

  • very cool looking game bro , I will have to pick this up

  • I found a Quattro arcade cart for 5$ but the cover is all messed up..

  • poor guy. he had his final video. everyone listen

  • wait what?

  • Luke moorse. Remember him as the ultimate game collector

  • What does that have to do with this video?

  • I clicked the wrong one. Sorry

  • coolioes!! :D
