My childhood obsession. I've ended it after like 2 years mastering every part. Zaks Castle is bugged. Game can freeze if you die while hanging on rope.
This game took alot of my childhood, never did beat it, because of you I'm actually going to go find my NES in storage and play this game again. This game I remember was time consuming. And it really wasn't friendly towards mistakes if you messed up you were screwed haha!
found the fantastic dizzy on genesis at my local store 10 bucks in box with book but it looked like euro game but worked fine on the m2 in the shop I left it there but its interesting
OHH man I used to own this game back in the 90's!!! totally forgot about it untill now. When I was little I hated it because I could never beat the first level. but definatly a great game
I'd say Kirby's Adventure and Super Mario 3 are on par with it. But it's definitely good looking for an 8-bit title. Too bad it's unlicensed. It's unlikely it will ever show up on Virtual Console because of that.
This actually looks like a great game to play. And thats the thing a lot of Unlicensed games usually have really good graphics and they are quite fun to play. I might have to keep an eye out for this one :) Thanks Jake, for mentioning about this game!
I absolutely adore this game! I had a bunch of Dizzy games on my Commodore 64 and I remember thinking that it really stood out from most other games of its type.
Codemasters were kings back in the 8-bit era. Most of my fondest C64 memories are connected with Codies and Ocean.
I will have to make sure to find a copy of this game if I ever buy a NES!
Back in the day, Nintendo Licenced games with a fee of 50% of the selling value, the producer of the game only got about 40% because they had to pay for the manufactory of the cartdges to Nintendo tas well. Lets say a lot of companies didnt liked that...
idk where u got ur numbers but my feeling is due to them already getting sued for the game genie they prob didnt want to sell the game to nintendo and maybe nintendo didnt want it from them.
i read in the Book "Game Over". They made the rules they wanted, Nintendo had the role videogame market at their hands, Thus Nintendo was being sued at that time per some companies aleging monopoly.

The thing about the Nintendo licences were that they were expensive. Codemasters have always been against that sort of thing

I'm assuming that it wasn't licensed because codemasters and nintendo didn't really have the best relation ship, but I could be wrong.
