I would answer this question a bit differently. My answer would be to follow the examples of jesus' preaching. You won't win them all to Christ. Even he himself didn't reach everyone with his message that heard it. Preach the whole council of god and let the holy spirit do the rest, even if you don't see immediate results.

Pray pray pray before you go and talk to your brother or sister about their sin. Ask God to take your pride away, equip you with the word, equip you with wisdom. Please dont just rush in their if all you want to do is show them they are wrong. Again pray to God to show you the right way to do this with His power.

Very practical! Someone should turn this into a list with verse references and put it on a notecard so Christians can always have a handy guide on how to deal with sin.
