This species of dolphins do this and can number up to 1,000 - 2,000 dolphins coming for the food and the jumping and splashing is saying that "food is this way follow me"! and they also use seagulls to find the herring. They see the seagulls and they know that the seagulls eat the herring to so wherever they are, the fish are to! Love these animals

WOW! I had a similar experience on Shackelford Banks, NC in 1983, A massive group moving past along the oceanside shore there lasted about 20mins. AWESOME!!!!
