I bought this game not too long ago, played it for about a month and didn't understand it very much. Then I got Skyrim and it seemed a little better, so I decided to come back to Oblivion and it is way better than when I first played.

What is up with the Elder Scroll series and starting each game out as a prisoner? Morrowind-Prison Ship; Oblivion-Prison; Skyrim-About to get your head chopped off. I think they really like prisoners. But hey I'm not complaining it's entertaining.

Hey gix...I got oblivion for the PC and at first if runs fine...but it wont let me change in game settings or open the door at the beginning of the game going into the sewers...it closes me out and says that oblivion has experianced an error and is shutting down...it does this everytime i change the settings or open that one door so I cant make any progress in the game..PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!

@VvSharpshooter101 i hope you got the problem solved but in case you didnt, I remember this has to do with water. theres water on the other side and the game crashes when it tries to draw water. you can go to the ini and disable water or google it a bit i think you had to turn down water shading and it would be fine.

I watched both Nagidal his lets play's and he takes his time for things and just looks around and does stuff that normally could be considered boring.

Just try to imerge (don't know if thats the correct word) yourself in the game then you'll have a blast and your viewers too, I already subbed ya can't wait to check your work :)

@skullandbones656 Well, to promote the advancement of gaming technology, nobody should ever buy a game for the consoles. They are hindering progress (as we could see with Oblivion, as it's UI was a big step back from Morrowinds, simply because of limitations with console controls).

@skullandbones656 Well, I have yet to find a single thing that a console has over a PC (atleast Xbox and PS, Wii has some things that you can't get on PC). Other than that, the Xbox performs just like a cheap budget-PC, and could easily be replaced by one. However, you're right. I don't mind people playing on consoles if they so wish, my only real problem is that game developers don't put enough time into making a game that suits both interfaces, something we can all agree on.

@DivineMastery I do admit I have both, but console is simpler. There are more buttons on the PC, and it takes getting use to if you played the console before. But I find it better because the bow is more precise on PC then Xbox/PS3.

@DivineMastery Some find it harder to play on a keyboard then a controller. Yes i agree they could use a controller on their computer, but 1. Most people dont know how to hook up a xbox/ps3 controller to a computer, and 2. Most users use a low spec laptop and probably dont have enough power to run a game like this on settings which would surpass those which are displayed on a console. But thats all personal opinion, and you are voiced to yours as am i.

@yuirrr Then you play Morrowind you can fell the love put in the game and it was different then the other RPG's on the marked on that time, and even today.

Oblivion is a good game, and one of my fav. But it took a more ''Mainstream'' line of RPG. Which kill'd it a bit and didn't do that awesome things like Morrowind did.

I have hopes that Bethesda will do the Morrowind say with Skyrim, but then again. That hope ship can sunk...
