Dude seriously me and some friends from minegarde forums are competiting for killing the same beast under 5 mins with LS and GS lol.Nice video anyways.I think the armor is Akantors and the SnS reminds me something of...Frosted Edge+?

how exactly did u cut off the tail with a SnS? i didn't think it was even possible cause it can't reach....

When he lands from flying his tail waves downwards, perfect for hitting the tail, also that same thing happens when he fires his fireballs.

LOL. It takes alot of practice, when it lands be ready for the action, quick feet movement = run. If not then could be anything, just get round to it's side as it lands and then roll tgowards the tail,.

If it fireballs you shoud get a few swipes in...

They are from romebra.

I belive (haven't played in quite a while) they can be gotten from all the different ranks (lower-G) but I'm not entirely sure.

Best way to get them is take the jolly roger (if you have it) if not then gypie or blue guild armour or a mix of the two for carving celebrity (gives you extra carve).

I would suggest taking GS or DS as when they stay still you can hit them easily

i hate fighting the rathalos or ne of them, they run away all the time n its jus time wasting n annoying, i prefer to fight big stuff that likes to stay put, but cool vid, i suck bad at using SNS, i go LS all the way, hehe, n jus wondering, does anybody know a site i can go too to see weapon builds??

The weapon in that video is the Hi Frost Edge, and it's upgrade requires Kush parts.

Bearing in mind this was a strictly no flash and only one shock trap (for tail cutting purposes) run.

Also that time includes area changing etc (this one seemed to run alot).

But yeah, SnS are definately less useful than in MHF. My first weapon choice for Rathalos at the time of making this video was DS, which was much quicker.

Now i just use GS, although that is easier on Azure and Silver versions who tend to fly more...

yeah i use GS on azure and silver too, but silver is kinda a pain cuz you gotta aim for the wings..... hammering it would be so much quicker but it can't cut tail >_>

i need some tips on DS tho.. trying to get better at it for los

DS is actually the easiest, well except for silve3r.

I wouldn't even try silver with DS anymore...

252 aw and 420 Ice and a small bit of whitew sharpness.

Recommended skills for Rathalos:

Earplug (High grade if silver in MHP2G)

Sharpness +1

Elemental attack up.

It is Hard rank With full aka armour (before P2G as it got nerfed then...)

But with a decent weapon the tactics are the same with G-rank, just look for the openings i exploit in this video...

But TBH you just need Earplugs and sharpness+1.
