It's not about a "friend", it's obviously a sopcial commentary on the white trash types from shows like Jerry Springer. He sings in verse 2 "your perfect little body that's been so close to mine". That's about a woman, not a man.

He told a fan, who told my sister, who told me. I am not a Jerry Springer type. I'm a university lecturer and I used to be a beauty queen. There you go.
