  • Long live the 2 stroke!

  • Its not equal beacause the brp is renegade and the apex are not xtx

  • Wolves This may be the blue bear... I went on a charity ride last year and we started out at Dingmans and went west towards Old 27 and Waters. I wanted to line up against both of them but would not have gotten any video... I wonder how my Triple piped Sx700R would compare against the 2??? I ran a t-Cat a number of years ago and lost by about 5 sled lengths in a 1/4 mile - needless to say my gearing set up was WAY off...(fixed since then)

  • is this the bluebear trail?

  • Not a brand loyal guy here but their was lots of driver error on the Apex drivers part.

Didn't have his shield down making him take his hand off the bar. Reaction time was painfully slow. Looked like Betty White driving that sled. Etec was lined up on more of a hard pack than the Apex. I have had all 4 brands in the recent years. Not trying at all to defend but this Apex guy is not a racer by any means.

If it matters, I would WAAAYY sooner have the Etec.

  • @Uberpwnzor12 well wont matter cause the doo is a faster sled hands down.

  • mmmm, yep doo definatly won

  • put a long track apex up against it and the apex would dust that french horn....

  • @ramblnman24 it had so much track spin that this year they extended the tracks out a bit. liked to see one race the 2012 model

  • @123devinzz1 we just bought the 2012 10th anniversary edition. havent gotten a chance to ride it yet. how are they?

  • @ramblnman24

HA! Wrong, but thanks for coming out. Track length the same or not an 800 E-TEC will kill an Apex all day long, not to mention weighs 100 lbs less and handles 10x better.

  • i agree apex would dust a etec on any normal day. the only way a etecs winning is if there is a very short range where they are lining up

  • Well on this day the Doo won... Both machines were said to be stock. If you ever compare how much track is on the ground on the Doo vs. the Yam you'll notice the footprint is much bigger, I think this is why the Doo's are great out of the hole.

  • @sxr700Bandit Good point, I agree with you. Also consider that the Doo is 100 LBS lighter than the Apex. But in the long run I still think the Apex would still be a sled lenght ahead, or more.

  • @Zippy1one... I was born yamaha, nothing against them, i still race turbo rx1, but ive raced my bone stock 800 etec xrs vs many apex's the most recent one was vs one with pipe and clutching, and i always owned the apex all the way through, once the apex catches back up with me, i only have him by a sled length, and it never changes from there

  • apex would win
