  • I am the one in the video being taught. I took modern dance in college for 5 years, but this was by far a lot harder. Thanks John for introducing me to capoeira!

  • They haven't taught her the ginga properly. She's off balance the whole time and lacks the fluidity required to launch into the attacks and other moves smoothly.

    Not her fault, though.

    Also, having her sweatshirt tied around her waist isn't helping her balance.

    She needs to allow herself to feel the rhythm and since each Capoeira move a "word", she needs to begin to create "sentences", eventually singing along with the music.

    Kudos to her for learning this beautiful art. :-)

  • What are you talking about? Both of you have no fluidity in your movements (probably because of the slow angola song) and you both have your guards down while doing attacks. She's not the only one who needs training.
