Too many people are saying The Mars Volta on every video I see by this band. Jesus Christ, stop. They don't, maybe you can say the vocals are similar in some way, but how can you say they sound like them? Australia and fucking El Paso, Texas are very similar too I guess. I love The Mars Volta, and these guys. But they are no way similar just because they are extremely talented, maybe you should just call them great musicians instead of comparing them to each other.

The vocals really are the biggest similarity. However, the complexity of the music, the style, and a lot of the writing is the same. They are not completely different bands. They do have similarities, but yes, they're different in most respects.

@thedude32725 Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but how can you compare these bands with each other? It's just foolish. Both have progressive sounds, but are completely different. Also, Tool is not by any means "the greatest music ever created and the only one that deserves recognition." In my opinion, this group has decently written songs, energy and emotion, and some nice musicianship. The exact same can be said for Tool. Both are great bands. Let's just leave it at that.
