Having been clean for 10 years, I must state that the biggest challenge to rehab is that the system does not let people recover unless they want to work in places like McDonnalds or on a building site. It is simple impossible to get work that allows you to afford a family, car and a house. I stopped using and obtained a 1st class BA degree, yet my criminal past in my early 20’s still blocks me from becoming a success... It is not worth stopping drug use

A friend of mine used to have a drug problem. He says he has quit for a long time now. He does weed occasionally but last week he did coke as an experiment.

Yesterday when we were drunk at a party, he said he still does drugs when he's out of town (private student room) because he gets bad reactions from friends.
He just supports his addiction when he's out of town. My friends confronted him and he said I lied.

The MAJORITY of people in Rehab for Marijuana, are teens, age 12-17. Now when a teen is caught with Marijuana he is either given the option to A) go to rehab, or B) go to Jail/Juvy. OBVIOUSLY the child is going to go with option A). I'm pretty fucking sure anyone would rather go to rehab rather then jail. The kids arent fuckign addicted they were pretty much forced to go there.

My heart hurts so much... my son addicted to everything, xanax bars, percodan, and now cocaine since 1998... he was maybe 12/13 when it started. He is my heartbreak and I've lost it all to help him.

Everytime i get the craving i always try and remind myself of the after and how shitty i would feel the next day. Doesn't always work but it helps take away from the appeal of that high.

I love coke, will do it again sometime. havnt done it in years though. When I would I would snort a bit, and save the rest for later. I could have a gram for a week or 2 (use for about 2 nights) and then not get anymore for 2 or 3 months. no addiction there.

You know drugs will fuk you up. You know where you will end up and how it will all end up. Just don't do it. It's not like you don't know what's going to happen. If you do however still decide to do drugs, when you end up in that ditch don't complain and ask for help - you chose this way even though you knew the consequences.
My parents are addicts, and my brothers and sisters and I were kidnapped by a relative because we were being neglected due to their drug use. We can't see them until they're clean again, it's been 3 years now and I'm scared they will die before we see them again. My youngest brother is just 6, I'm the oldest and I'm 14.

I'm not saying that Jimmy 'the heat' Montana's gambling isn't a poison, or that he's above other addicts. Thing is- when the gambling is for fruit, as opposed to money, not only are there no physical effects as with drug use, you're actually improving your health by getting 5-a-day.
I would have to say I think less of gambling addicts. At least drug addicts are physically addicted and not just so mentally deficient that they can't grasp the simple concepts of how percentages and odds work. Casino's don't go bankrupt for a reason, a reason that isn't very hard to figure out.
I think that most gambling addicts know that they'll lose money in the end. It's just that when they win large amounts of money, it's like a mild crack hit. A bit like obesity and drug addiction. Many of them know that it's bad.

If cocaine cost 5 bucks a gram , like it would if it were legal , nobody would have to steal to get it . It would also be cleaner , take the money away from gangs and cartels , and we would save a billion dollars a year in incarceration costs . U can't stop drugs - u can only educate. Teach people the risks as early as possible. The social stigma surrounding drugs is totally hypocritical - if ur a drug addict u think people will disown u - but why ? U have illness?!? Im not saying its an excuse but I definitely believe drs use that diagnose way too many times because they do not have a clue what underlying issues truly are.
Having said that, I think its awesome that you were able to share this clip so others can hear your story about addiction. What people will realize is that after becoming clean, it does get easier. Thanks for sharing your story!

thanx for the video good for you staying sober. I'm a musician and for years cocaine was how i got through long nights in bars and other shows. Everytime i get the craving i always try and remind myself of the after and how shitty i would feel the next day. Doesn't always work but it helps take away from the appeal of that high.

My son was diagnosed ADD. Ritalin killed my 22 yr old son after 10 years of seeming to be harmless. Be careful and use time release if you are going to use this highly addictive amphetamine. It is a form of speed that you need more and more to get the same effect. Once you become addicted, abuse, and doctor shop. God help you. Go to the NIDA web page (Nat. Institute of Drug Abuse) and learn how amphetamines damage the part of the brain for making yes no decisions. If normal you would say no.

Have humans of whatever age be checked, possibly treated if needed by a type of Chiropractor called an( upper cervical "specific") read upcspine, thespecific, and an audio called MUCC us/ time is important because birth can be the beginning of many problems. Sherman Collage teaches one Good technique called Atlas orthoganol. Knees Chest is good to even if it is not mentioned on upcspine. I am an upper cervical advocate. Addictions are one thing this can help. Disk health important for recovery.

I love coke, will do it again sometime. havnt done it in years though. When I would I would snort a bit, and save the rest for later. I could have a gram for a week or 2 (use for about 2 nights) and then not get anymore for 2 or 3 months. no addiction there.

My parents are addicts, and my brothers and sisters and I were kidnapped by a relative because we were being neglected due to their drug use. We can't see them until they're clean again, it's been 3 years now and I'm scared they will die before we see them again. My youngest brother is just 6, I'm the oldest and I'm 14.

I'm not saying that Jimmy 'the heat' Montana's gambling isn't a poison, or that he's above other addicts. Thing is- when the gambling is for fruit, as opposed to money, not only are there no physical effects as with drug use, you're actually improving your health by getting 5-a-day.

I would have to say I think less of gambling addicts. At least drug addicts are physically addicted and not just so mentally deficient that they can't grasp the simple concepts of how percentages and odds work. Casino's don't go bankrupt for a reason, a reason that isn't very hard to figure out.

If cocaine cost 5 bucks a gram , like it would if it were legal , nobody would have to steal to get it . It would also be cleaner , take the money away from gangs and cartels , and we would save a billion dollars a year in incarceration costs . Overdoses on all illegal drugs last year were less than 15,000 nationwide . 17,000 deaths from over the counter NSAIDs last year . 400,000 deaths from "properly prescribed" prescription drugs every year worldwide . Cocaine is relatively safe compared to some accepted medications . It is the legal stature of the drugs that makes them dangerous .
