  • some sweet info here

  • 0:49 looks like a heart. Kind of cool too how the sun is the driving force in our solar system, much like the heart of an organism here on earth.

  • very interesting thanks

  • See Power of the Sun by Redstorm. Solar energy statistics incorporated into electronic music.

  • If I kick a football through the fire the ball won't catch the fire unless if I place it in a burning pile of wood where the fire points upwards. Lit a match stick and think why the fire at the tip points upwards and not downwards while gravity works on all objects. Now think why does a solar flare flies and comes towards the direction of gravity in this infinte universe. 70 % of earth is covered with water but not my football so the earth is safer than football.

  • chuck norris is a faggot bitch.

  • 100000000000000000000000000000000000 trillion suns=chuck norris fart

  • @666malakas What do u mean?

  • neato

  • hey ho!

  • If their statement is true about 100 square miles of solar panels being enough to power entire US, then wouldn't the government give them a 100 square mile worth of plots of land government funded?

especially when we look at energy security, electric vehicles, decreasing the countries dependency on petroleum based fuels.

It sounds too good to be true, so if it is possible what is in the way?

  • @FEenergy What's in the way is that corporations don't want that to happen. There is too much profit in petroleum based fuels that if it were to become obsolete the CEO's wouldn't make all the money they are now. This country is driven by greed and deceit only in attempts to increase the size of one's bank account, and nobody cares enough to actually make a difference and change it.

  • It is nice to be able to SEE our Ancestors Ancient Sun God which helped bring Credibility to the Evolution of the Human Race.

  • Well, they better put all those panels in the Arizona desert and not in my backyard.

  • Now that we learned the sun has such great power! we have people wanting to turn it into a cash cow! free energy for them and a electric bill for you. wake up people.

  • LOL wth i looked up techno and got this o.0... THUMBS UP IF U DID THE SAME

  • i don't get it

  • i looked up techno music and got this

  • I think I saw the ending credit as "The power or the sun", instead of "The Power of the Sun"....

  • Comment removed

  • hydrogen and helium dont burning inside the sun, hydrogen on its way of thermonuclear reaction is changed into helium, thats where sun gets its power from. not from lighting it all up... my teacher said so, im just stupid;)

  • the sun does not rise or sit. This is a illusion it is the earth in rotation

  • @roar5952 yes I agree it is only an illusion because from our perspective on earth the sun appears to rise. What the sun does do and this has only been recently discovered is it bobs up and down through the spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxey in which it is located.

  • GE has 50 billion in thier holdings, money they dont even use. the owners of that company worship the black star, for sure.

  • The other day I was called a retard because at 7.30 in the morning the sun was a orange red and so was the sky and I called it a sunset. Sometimes the effects on the sky that the sun has early in the morning can actually look like a sunset. The sun rising and the sunsetting has exactly the same effect with the differnece being the time of day. My question is this is there anysuch thing as an early morning sunset? the effects on the sky can b e exactly the same

  • @Jackofalltrades85 Yes, but most normal people just call it a "sunrise". Doy.

  • @Bapuji42 I know normal people call it sunrise but I`ve seen photographs on the internet with the title early morning sunset not early morning sunrise which is the reason why a couple of weeks I said sunset at 7.30 in the morning because the sun was a red colour and so was the sky but still got called a retard for saying it....the point I`m trying to make is it is possible to say sunset even at 7.30 in the morning as well as saying sunrise

  • @Jackofalltrades85 Yes, you are retarded. It's called "sunset" because the sun is setting, not because of a certain color. Yes, sunrises can be just as colorful/dramatic as sunsets. They're still sunrises. Doyyyyyyy.

  • @Bapuji42 well why the fuck do people call it early morning sunset its not me whose retarded its the people who photograph the sun early in the morning and because the sun sometimes looks like its setting at that time in the morning they title their photographs early morning SUNSET not early morning sunrise they are the ones who asre retards not me...look for yourself there are photographs on the net titled early morning sunset. By the way you are wrong sunsets can be a certain colour

  • @Jackofalltrades85 let me clear this up for you everyone knows that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west or in other words comes up from the horizon and goes down beyond the horizon. The word sunrise and the word sunset describes the suns appearence in sky and disappearence from the sky. What we see as the sun rises in the east can sometimes mirror what we see as the sun sets in the west and thats why sometimes people call it early morning sunset

  • The sun gives lots of energy to Anchorage on Dec. 21.

smtrail.com seeking vc's with green vision

  • They obviously don't want us to buy 100 miles squared of solar panels...(they couldn't even produce them) thought you need considerably more miles, like 100 million acres according to the University of Tennessee for a merely 25% of US needs for energy based on ethanol and bio diesel. What they want us... is to invest... nothing more... They still have to improve the techonology 'cause right now is polluting like sht... and it's not very affordable.

  • nuclear fusion.. the future of energy!

  • Fire! It's now in 3D!

  • Why do you keep poluting the plant with toxic nuclear waste by building reactors if you know this. GREED

  • @agnoses what exactly is greedy about a nuclear reactor you uneducated hippie fuck ?

  • Powerful!!

  • This was dumb.

  • i think they were trying to create a miniature Sun. if we can hardness such a power we would be the most unstoppable beings in the universe!!!!! Muwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!

  • wow they are promoting green energy use and you guys bitch about how they spend their money on advertising.

  • How do they know what the sun is made up of? Doesn't anything we send remotely near it instantly go poof?

  • @ohcrapmynameistoolon Spectroscopy--absorption lines. Nope-- heat and other radiation won't melt you until you get too close.

  • @ohcrapmynameistoolon

Basically, all elements emit a different wavelength of light. So by observing the light coming from the sun (with special high-tech equipment), scientists can determine exactly what it's composition is. For more information, read the Wikipedia article titled "Spectrum analysis".

  • @ohcrapmynameistoolon They use the light wavelengths given off by those elements to determine them

  • so when the sun explodes we will capture all the energy?? Is that what we are getting at here??

  • I have better energy, Enclose a room with mirrors. Shine light in, ENJOY INFINITE ENERGY! /trollface

  • @MeganeNaoki you do that?

  • @MeganeNaoki hahahaha so logical!!

  • @YourGuy95 Saying "fuck chemistry" is like saying "fuck yourself and everything else on this planet", because chemistry is the study of substances and atoms. In case you're too young to understand this right now, everything is made of atoms...

  • what are they trying to say?

  • i see the brainless bebier drones have entered the comment section. Why post if you don't like the vid? Hopefully you people get run over by drump trucks in the coming hours.

  • @ViacomFailsAtLife

If you're going to call people brainless, you should probably do it by challenging their comments instead of making remarks that make you look brainless yourself.

"Why post if you don't like the vid?"

So now you're dictating what the comments section can and can't be used for? Lame. It's also a pretty ironic stance coming from a guy whose username is dedicated to complaining about soomething.

  • OMG, we can drive hydrogen cars on the sun!

  • for F*(K sakes.. cant you people appreciate art and not rip it apart saying its science.. the science part (power of the sun) is the damned solar panels. the hydrogen/helium balloons are an artistic representation of the sun not a recreation of it.

  • @BeastandMan

When we're talking about global economic power shifts, retooling the entire energy grid, raising prices through the roof, and tearing the economy apart, perhaps people feel there's no need for "art". Especially when it's coupled with number games, and coming from the largest Washington lobbyist in history with massive conflicts of interest at every turn.

    Art, no. Propaganda, yes.

  • all that work and they couldn't even align the cameras perfectly?

  • pointless

  • @Fluffy2Fresh suns burns out . when they burn they get bigger and bigger to the point where they become red giant. dans colapse on themselves or explodes. it takes a long time to burn out cause they contain so much material.

  • Power of the Sun? I just flagged this as misleading text.

  • I'd light my fat ass j. of that!! Happy 420!!!

  • So what did we learn today? Hydrogen and Helium makes fire! Back to the caveman days boys!

  • @Tfilm2 No, no ,no..Hydrogen and oxygen make fire, energy and water. Hydrogen + hydrogen + gravity (the sun is huge) = helium and energy.

  • At least it's for a good cause.

  • only 100 square miles of solar panels?

thats IT? you can easily fit that in the mojave desert. GE can simply undercut all the energy comanies and take over the business! damn.

  • @elijahlucian

No... look at the comment I left on their channel to see how they are manipulating you with the numbers!

  • @elijahlucian

I fell for it too, until I realized. Something didn't feel right, and was nagging me. GE is practically the Federal government, and I know how much the Fed loves playing mind games, so came back to check. Sure enough, there was wordplay at work.

This is the kind of trick the government plays with debt, unemployment rates, etc. If you look closely enough, there's always deception somewhere.

  • what is this? what does this have anything to do with the energy of the sun...and why have all the cameras, pretty sure a highspeed would look a lot cooler...and what does any of that have to do with solar panels???

  • Isn't the sun supposed to last more than 1 second?

  • @fosk8 no one knows.. it would take us 8min before we found out its gone..

  • @fosk8 NO?!?!?

  • @fosk8

I think you missed the point

  • @secret212000 there is no point except corporate green-washing. GE makes a lot of household appliances, as well as nuclear bombs and long range delivery rockets... all sold to the highest bidder. The sun is nuclear fusion, that was just some stupid balloon filled with combustible gases ignited and captured in slow motion. No matter what GE says solar panels are not efficient enough to power the US energy demand yet, the technology is not there yet. GE just wants your trust.

  • @fauqum

You're right, GE is the largest military contractor on the planet! and most people don't even know it. I feel like solar power technology is there, the only problem is these huge oil companies that want to keep everything status quo.

The money in unlimited supplies of energy doesn't appeal to these oil companies as much the money in scarce supplies. It's retarded how greed fucks everyone over.

  • @secret212000 Solar power isnt efficient enough. It takes acres of solar panels to produce enough electricity to run a few homes. Its not some conspiracy by oil companies. If you believe in solar power, go ahead and buy a solar panel array. I know someone who did. It provides all the electricity he needs, but it cost 20,000 dollars and takes up half his yard.

  • @fosk8 Yeah, like when there's trillions times more gas involved than that of a balloon. You fucking idiot.

  • @purv989 nice lag.

  • pretty cool!

  • cool, but 100 squared miles would be increadably hard to maintain...

  • @zenthex1234 We have the technology for the panels to maintain themselves; as long as their setup properly. The government, and the people can do anything they want.

  • @HuxHazHeart who's going to maintain those machines?

  • LOL... oh, GE you're cute. I see what you did at the end!

    "100 miles squared"

Why not just say what it really is? 1000 square miles. A box 100 miles on all sides (100 miles squared) is 1000 square miles. Who uses "miles squared" instead of "square miles"? Oh, that's right... people trying to make absurdly large numbers look smaller.

This is why nobody trusts you, GE. Mind games + pretty pictures = PROPAGANDA.

  • Comment removed

  • @N37BU6

    10,000 I mean.

  • @N37BU6 100 miles squared is 10,000 square miles, sweetie.

  • @MrDakns

    I already corrected myself, darling.

  • amazing pictures

  • looks like that guy from mortal kombat

  • @QueIsUseless

You called coal non-renewable, because it is of finite supply and mined from the ground. Well... where do you think the rare earth minerals used in solar panels come from?

  • this what happens to canada if you vote for harper

  • @jeffvin1

And if they used money instead of hydrogen it would be what happens if you vote liberal.

  • @jeffvin1

You do realize Canada is in the top 3 for economic stability, right? America and all of Europe are drowning in debt thanks to wasteful spending, and we're doing fine.

Harper may be an ass, but at least we're not broke. That's one thing that annoys me about Canadians: they whine about not getting enough entitlements, but also whine about taxes.

  • @N37BU6 Hey, hey. Don't generalize now. Not all Canadians are like that. There are many Canadians who appreciate their country's economic stability and low debt.

  • @Rachiewoowoo

    Such as myself?

    I thought that was self-explanatory when I, a Canadian, said it. ;)

  • @Rachiewoowoo Haha, well then why would you generalize when you're included in that category as well? I'm also Canadian, so just wondering.

  • @Rachiewoowoo

But generalizing is just that... it's vague. Obviously I wasn't referring to every single Canadian.

  • @N37BU6 Well then don't generalize! Haha. Maybe "some Canadians", or "many Canadians", because I know I'm not included in that generalization.. no worries though. It would've been worse if you were American. I would've really gotten on your case, haha.

  • @jeffvin1 lolwut

  • The power of the sex

  • To GE:

Spend less money on your advertisements and more money on understanding science to create better products.

  • @GoodEvenings I'm sure GE can spare a few hundred dollars to make a youtube video.

  • "Clean energy to power our mercury-filled lightbulbs with"

  • why is this video on the trending list?

did GE paid to have this up there?

    this is trash

  • @toumy9358

I doubt they even paid... Google is right up there with GE on the list of Washington lobbyists.

  • @neennip

What does the setup have to do with anything? And either way, it's not the slightest bit complicated. It's just 24 SLRs set up in a circle. Switch sources and there you have it... 360 degree view.

He's right, they are sloppy with the video title. It's not the "power of the sun". It's burning hydrogen. It has nothing to do with the product they are marketing. But it looks cool, so they went with it. Then they tacked on some propaganda at the end without citing sources.

  • DONT READ THIS CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS.YOU WILL GET KISSED ONT HE NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BE THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE.TOMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE.HOWEVER IF YOU DO NOT POST THIS COMMENT TO AT LEAST 3 VIDEOS YOU WILL DIE WITHIN 2 DAYS.NOW UV STARTED READING THIS SO DONT STOP.THIS IS SO SCARY.PUT THIS ON AT LEAST 5 VIDEOS IN 143 MINUTES WHEN YOU DONE PRESS F6 AND YOUR LOVERS NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE SCREEN IN BIG LETTERS. • Since when did:

    Chemical Reaction = Nuclear Reaction?

instead of demonstrating a cheap small scale of the Hindenburg why not render decillions of decillions of tons of hydrogen in space for us? Even shining a flashlight down on a piece of paper gives a better representation damn it.

Do GE think people are genuinely stupid? Those classic red-and-white dotted spheres we see in Google Images of the Sun are obviously not shot with the correct visible light spectrum... Solar energy.... right

  • Looks like sweet tooth from twisted metal

  • wasted of 2 mins of my life..

  • only watching this because it was under trends

  • If you want to go solar, use heliostats.

This is just another scam from the biggest lobbyist in Washington. They want to be the middle man in the new "global power shift" that is the New World Order. It's all about money and power, not the environment.

    Shove your solar panels, GE.

  • General Electric, Shore Bank, Chicago Climate Exchange, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Congress.

Connect the dots and see what the reality behind "green energy" is.

  • "Enough to power the entire US"

Let's see those numbers. Because I suspect you're referring to your smart grid, and our monthly ALLOWANCE, as dictated by the Fed, not what we want to use. And also, at what cost? Because I recal your puppet saying under his plan, energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket". Also, those rare earth minerals are all found in China, where your good friend Maurice Strong resides. And we all know what he and Soros say about shifting power to China.

    Up yours, GE.

  • wow you made a balloon catch on fire

    what a achievement

  • @16royta

It's nice to see people seeing through the propaganda.

  • hydrogen+heium= queaf.

  • Portraits of the burning balloon is more like it. How about you do that in a vacuum and in the center of an immensely dense pocket of gravity and try again?

  • To bad the fucking GOVERNMENT only cares about MONEY so they continue to use FOSSIL FUELS, TREES, AND NUCLEAR POWER.

  • @GsBBoyDan

Newsflash, moron: GE *IS* the government. Do you have any idea how big of a lobbyist they are, who they own, and what they have done?

    You're a sucker.

  • so what does the exploding balloon have to do with solar panels?

  • Gotta love physics :)

  • @VerFoxx no, it's bad that you call them celestial bodies, lol

  • the should titled it " the power of bored people"

  • more like a fireball and less like the sun

  • Charizard used FLAMETHROWER!!!, sun fainted

  • They should've just lit somebody's fart...it probably would've produced more megawatts than that...plus the flame would be blue.

  • its 420... am i the only1 baked and watching this over and over

  • @seethebloodwow me too bro :)

  • im hard

  • so how bout them mets??

  • I think it's just an excuse to freeze fire.

  • too bad thers gravity

  • whoa i'm so high...

  • time for 420...c ya!

  • Woah. GE just epically failed...

Stars fuse hydrogen into helium because of extreme temperature and pressure in their cores.

This was hydrogen reacting with oxygen and heat to make water.

In short, they are just lighting shit on fire and pretending it is the sun.
